i reckon that 2250 is close to the ultimate trailer boat be interesting to see what you do doe's twin outbound bring more security to real off shore trailer boating how much doe's it weight will you need a ram or a isuzu truck to tow it how much fuel it will hold

Love the Stabi's but I have to say bigger boat won't catch more fish, skills and experience does that. There's a couple of fishing channels in your state one who has a much smaller stabi who slay the fish but they are several levels above you in skill and experience. (I get it you know that its a different genre altogether) For filming and more passengers then that's a valid reason and it will help for sure. As for safety it won't make a difference your boat is bullet proof more bullet proof is still bullet proof the safety of a boat is more dependant on skill of operator at that level and how far you push it, more capable boats get pushed further but all have a limit. Comfort, yeah in some circumstances it will be better. I have owned many boats up to 9M here in NZ as I get older and more retired I am going smaller currently building a 4.5M basically as its more versatile and easier to manage and own but then I mostly fish solo or with a couple of grandsons. It is also planned to be very capable for bar crossing and open water (picking my weather well) and also trout fishing and having fun with family beach lake days towing the kiddies around on ski biscuits.

The StabiCraft does look nice. The larger size looks like it would comfotably take more people too.

Much prefer a Surtees then a Barcrusher over a Stabi. But then again, I'd love a multihull first and foremost.

If you can manage a 1850 you'll manage a 2250. The bigger boat gives you the confidence to go further, going further means you are then getting to spots the masses can't/won't go to which means more fish. We recently upgraded and whilst the cost was hard to stomach it does mean we catch a decent feed of fish every time we go out.

I don’t think I could go that big, for my style of fishing and mostly local trips a 6-7m boat is perfect, its hard to get the perfect size boat for what you use it for I reckon, I looked at some bigger boats the other day and I definitely couldn’t fish and reverse up on my marks like I do now, and thats how I love to fish, I love a good balance between size, economy and fishability, With also being able to be comfortable enough for extended trips out to the reef etc, I have mates with big boats and are great for comfort, but fishability, towing and economy is more important to me, Big choice Mark 😅

In NZ a mate of ours has the 2250 CC Walk Around. He needed to upgrade to much larger bilge pumps plural, where we fish we cross a gnarly bar and frequently take many large waves over the bow, the walk around channels the water back into the cockpit and if enough comes aboard really effects the handling of the boat and not in a good way. Other wise capable boat. We fish a 7m aluminium cat. Good luck.
