Sea Shanty could go crazy in mage, especially if you are using targeted removal. Also if it is cost reduced to 2 or below, you get 15/15 with the Tourist proc as well.

Yeah, Sanc'Azel turning into a location would likely affect its health like Remornia, Living Blade from Castle Nathria when it changes from minion to weapon.

Thing about Sea Shanty in mage is that it doesn't specifically says it has to be buffs, burn spells also count.

whoa sanc'azel is so cool, you're right it's like that weapon, I love the idea of a minion that can transform into other things and then turn back. It being a location bc it's a sand castle is such amazing flavor lol

With handbuff I can see sancazel being very busted in aggro paladin, since the location is refreshed after it turns back from a minion So in theory as long as there’s enemies to slam into you could theoretically slap the location 7x on one minion

You'd be losing health (and thus durability) every time you trade. Granted if you handbuff him a lot it probably won't matter, but he's probably not living 3 trades at effectively 6 health (using the location twice would take 2 off his 8)

Sea shanty could potentially be used in a burn mage deck if that were a thing. It reduces for each spell that you cast in characters this game. Wouldn’t fireball opponents face reduce this then?

Lifesaving aura is basically the counterpart to awakening tremors. You less value with needing a body and 3/6 in stats as oppose to getting 3 3/1's total of 9/3 in stats separately.

I am foreseeing that card from titans that’s a 3 mana 3/4 draw 2 if you’ve played 5 spells being playable. Also the mana reducing 5 mana 5/5 being omega playable in mage at last. Also darkmoon magician could be absurd with all the 1 mana spells. Also mage have easy access to holy spells we want to play for sif 👀. Mage getting two of the drink card plus the aura seems hella good.

Someone correct me if I’m wrong or my math is off; lynessa plus 2 copies of divine brew, and an equipped windfury weapon (the 3/4 one from FoL) is just an otk right? Assuming no taunts. 6 from weapon + 2(3*5) - 1 since the first divine brew gives your hero divine shield = 35 damage?

@@shrekkek9396 yeah for some reason I thought divine brew gave +3 attack lmao. The correct number is 3 from weapon, a max of 5 casts of divine brew which uses all of your mana after lynessa, doubled to 10 from lynessas effect. The first cast gives you divine shield, so it totals to 9 effective casts, each giving 1 damage. This leads to 3+9=12, and two weapon swings from windfury brings it all up to 24. More damage is possible with the coin, which would allow you to cast the 6th brew (without the coin you are 1 mana short since lynessa is 5 and each brew is 1, so theres a max of 5 brews possible), which would let you achieve 2(3+(12-1))= 28 damage. So close but that’s the absolute maximum excluding other cards you can achieve…even with the coin.

With sea shanty wouldnt you be able to play it with king tide for base 5 but also reduce further by casting burn and freeze spells to control board and face until you play tide? Meaning potentially casting it for 0 on the turn you play tide? Because since the cost reduction of sea shanty is applied on itself not from another card and is tied to a fixed number that only increases and never decreases wouldnt it apply the cost change from kimg first then the reduction from shanty ? I think similiar imteractions have worked like that in the past

Had a small leak on the hearthstone channel when they discovered a card from other spell schools. Lloked like a damage and buff card with fire tag. Probably death knight. And a fel spell that deals 4 and if it kills makes a deathrattle card cost 3 less. Probably dh.

attack with sancazel and leave it as a location till your next turn so your opponent can never kill it, it has rush so even if you transform it back into a minion on your turn it can attack anyway

The Location legendary is absolutely insane - it's basically an Outfit Tailor that also gives rush that is harder to remove and just gets to stick on the board for basically forever. There are only two cards in the game that can destroy a location, and one of them is only available to Warlock or cross class discovery, while the other one just got nerfed to 10 mana. Considering they keep nerfing Reno, I really hope this xpack introduces new ways to remove otherwise unremovable cards.

sanc azel seems nuts, because you can just buff it and there's no interaction for your opponent. though it really depends on how it works, if the location keeps the sleep and it can't attack face it's less powerful, but in handbuff it's still nuts. destroy their minion, still hit for like 10+whatever was on board. I can see a bunch of out of nowhere kills with leeroy. if the location resets after transform, it's insane, you can just clear their board and kill them

i think the pala elm card is cool BUT if u have to wait 2 turns after your 2 hit when it turns into a closed location it might be to slow for current meta but it also then wont be hit by aoe with is cool i guess so i dont know. the cards looks cool

Powerspike is such a bad card and I have no idea why they chose to do this. It easily could go to 5 Mana and still not see any play. Would you play a 5 Mana 4/4 deal 4? Not at all. Yeah, there's a chance you use it as a way to close out games with the whole +4/+4 AND 4 damage but honestly I'd rather just use crusaders aura.

No minion mage means no tourist minion which is ong why I think that whole archetype is missing something it needs like a zero mana spell that is like etc but you just get one card so it's technically a spell for the condition but allows actual creativity in deck building which is what the archetype lacks right now In my opinion

Nah that's small brain. Youd only heal 10. The real galaxy brain play is to use it with aoe where the healing will scale based on how many minions are in play and how much damage the spell does. For example you play it with blizzard or flame strike on a full board your healing 12 and 35 health respectively. It's why that 1 mana manathirst demonhunter spell was so busted. You add just a little bit of spell damage and your healing more than your maxhp
