I love Leah so much, she was the first one I married. Also this wasn't mentioned but Kel's gender changes to match the player's, same for the creepy dialogue option at her 2 hearts event (if you're a guy she punches you, if you're a girl she says "you too? good to kow" then punches you). As a lesbian myself I found this such a nice touch

I get why people like her but personally I don't. She was the first bachelorette I romanced and I honestly found her uninteresting, and while I don't agree with her ex trying to force her into something she doesn't want to do I do think she should have had a backup plan in case art didn't work out, she still could have always done it on the side. You should follow your passions but a truly mature person would always have a backup plan, or at least attempt to have one, which she didn't.

I started playing Stardew valley 3 days ago and I immediately fell in love with Leah. She’s an artist who lives in a cottage in the woods with a relatable backstory to the farmer. I myself am an artist and on top of that she is just the sweetest character I’ve ever interacted with!! In MY opinion, she is the best bachelorette.

Pfffft!! I love that you still had the yandere mod installed~ I'm interested why the title says Leah is the forgotten spouse; another creator, Leapalot, did a community poll and in almost all categories (or maybe even all of them, I can't recall), Leah was ranked the favourite bachelorette.

Idk if you’ve seen his narrative content but I’m really excited to see what Leap has to say about Leah in his exposing the valley series. Anytime I see people judge her, they often mention she’s a hypocrite (because heaven forbid a person who’s been stalked have conflicting beliefs on dealing with their stalker) and it’s sad to see. He comes at everything with a fair eye so I’ll be interested for what he has to say,

@@mickeyjo10va37 - Oh really? I didn’t realize a lot of people judged Leah, especially with regards to her ex. I know the media loves to portray the new partner punching the old one as some kind of victory and dominance, but it’s also just straight-up violence. Of course Leah can have conflicting feeling about that. If we read into the possibility that Kel was also physically aggressive (maybe not to Leah but to anyone), then it is sensible for her to be uncomfortable with her new love interest acting in a physically aggressive way. None of that makes her a hypocrite. You can hate someone and NOT want them to be physically assaulted. And even beyond that aspect, it’s not wrong to have conflicted feelings about an ex. Presumably, the relationship existed because there were positive interactions and affections at some point. Those good memories don’t just vanish when the relationship ends. It’s so easy for people to judge from the outside and not have to actually deal with the emotional pain. I’m also super excited to see what Leap has to say

If marriageable characters from Stardew Valley Extended are ever done, I'd have to say that Sophia is damningly hard to get with until you can get the Grampleton Orange Chicken from Gus, but even after her initial cold nature passes, she's actually a very playful and lovable character that's literally an anime fan's dream come true. The change in her is literally night and day and worthy of 6 chickens of 5.

I liked her on our first meeting, and fell in love during the second one. No such reaction to any other character, and I play extended with more romance candidates. She's just that kind of girl that once you fall in love with her, it's forever. And, yes, I felt the same - even with just a couple of phrases at her disposal she manages to express such warmth and love that you can actually feel it, not just read the words. Makes you totally forget she is just a pixelated blob in a low-res game. Absolutely adorable character.

Whole heartedly agree with you about how disappointing it is for the spouses to give up on their dreams. Its why Sebby is my favorite to this day- he doesn't give up. Sam is also a close second, but his dialog suggests he's lost interest a little bit.

At first I really liked seb but I didn't think he was a good spouse. I then made a save just to marry haley because I wanted to know how it felt like, lol, and she did surprise me but she's not really my vibe. When I started a save to actually finish the game I wasn't really feeling like marrying anyone and I still had some conflict about krobus (my favorite) so I looked up for the characters that seemed happy about marrying, spending the rest of their lives in the valley, keeping their activities as possible... you know, to avoid feeling like I ruined their life. I also had the same thought about her background being in fact relatable to the farmer. Well, I married her and I kept liking her more and more through the run. She was perfect, much more helpful then seb and I even think she helped me finish the run (the interections kept me going). Thank you

Leah was the first bachelorette I romanced and she is easily my favorite. She's so pure and wholesome and makes me coffee and salad and will grow veggies in a pot for me even if I can easily forage them (that's what makes it even cuter). You don't hold her back either so you don't feel as guilty for romancing her. She's literally the best

When I started playing Stardew Valley, I instantly fell in love with Leah without any of the cutscenes to see yet. Then I saw the cutscenes and fell more in love and I can relate to Her. I got 8 hearts with her, she was my first 8 heart ever. Then I married a fellow player on that save😅 Solo Save will be my marriage to Leah

Just playing Stardew for the first time, and, in real life, have been married to an artist for over 30 years. At first I started pursuing Penny, but then discovered Leah. She is the mature choice, because she's already a whole person before you get married. She doesn't "need" you like so many of the others do. Instead, you each bring something to the marriage and make each other better. Which is everything you really need in a marriage. Leah 4ever.

You know, I really loved Leah. Specially when she punched her ex, if you chose to peacefully talk to Kel in that scene. She only reacted violently when Kel insulted the farmer, "Seriously Leah... What are you doing out here with this simple-minded bumpkin?" In that scene, you kinda see Leah's expression looking angry. She opted for peace, asking for Kel to leave and don't want confrontation but it all changed when he insulted (us) the farmer! Love that detail, in that scene. Leah is such a sweet heart, she be defending her love one hehe ❤

Stardew is my favorite game ever and motive and storywise, Leah is the best bachelorette choice. She gets out of the house to walk on mondays, keeps painting and sculpting, loves the children you have but also doesn't mind if you choose to not have any. She has the exact same reasons that made the farmer move out of the city and the both of them just want a calmer and more meaningful life! Farmer and Leah are def the best pairing :)

the only reason Leah wasn't my first marriage was because (and it's important to note that I hadn't previously looked at the wiki): I gave her hashbrowns -which most of them like- only to find out she hates them, and she's the ONLY one that hates them (some do dislike them - Harvey, Krobus, Willy, and Leo- I can forgive krobus and Leo though and Harvey just isn't for me as a lesbian) but I love hashbrowns so I couldn't marry her for a bit out of saddness
