Are you still using this deck? How’s the two finger volume touch feature?

Key1 and Key 2 wires from head unit are for after market steering wheel control, I got the one that clamps on steering wheel but clamped it on my shifter right below shifter knob (thay make all kinds ). Bought in 2016 still going strong

Tip: even if your not putting a simcard in the headunit, make sure to install both 4G antenna and unravel them all the way up to the windscreen. I didnt so this and my wireless carplay was terrible for months. This is because carplay uses Bluetooth to connect and then WiFi for the connection. They should have labled the antennas as 4G and Wifi

For your volume issue I would either get after market steering wheel controls that use batteries or a bmw style audio control that also uses batteries they work fairly well I have the bmw style one in my OBS.

I love my 7" seicane android radios. I just think the 10" radios are to big for the OBS trucks. I'm also rocking the OBS interior dash kit, so I also didn't want to cover up Jesse's beautiful kit.

I have a 2020 model and was just curious how the newest ones are. x2 on Joying being the best. I had some other one before it and it was laggy AF! The Joying ones operate so much smoother. Especially the ones with the Intel chip. Mine is the same way about not installing 100% fully into the dash depth-wise. I had to have mine out just a pinch too but it's been fine. I think the newer ui looks real nice. They modernized it a little bit. I had to use a 3rd party android launcher on mine because the stock one looked kind of cartoony. Let's just say a little east Asian domestic market design for me. I would miss the buttons though. Mine still has tappable buttons on the left side even though they're really just virtual and have a black laminate covering the left 2" of the screen but I wish I had the knob like that 2ns one.

Is there a setting to keep Joying Unit display OFF by default when car is started. I only intend on using it as a backup camera and occasionally for Navigation. Thus I don't need infotainment system to turn ON by default when Car is started. I want to explicitly turn it ON.

hey bro do you think it would be possible to put a 15.1" unit in? the single din sleeve would have to be extended but wondering if it would work...the 10 does fit nice but it would be nice to have the 15" vertical although it would block your interior climate controls inside

Can you watch KZfaq or Netflix while driving?

@Blowing Diesel - Does that screen come off the head unit come off for security? Side note question for you though: Do you take on welding concepts for the 2017+bumpers? Can you or have you put any thought into a bumper bracket to put a winch behind the bumper in between the tow hooks? I built a concept out of cardboard for the winch (I used the badlands 12000K dimensions) and it seems to fit with a few small tweaks I just don't have a welder nor a plasma to give it a run. How possible is it to make a bracket for this?

I have the Pioneer DMH-WT7600NEX in my f350 I find Pioneers are the only thing that really last in diesels.

I put a 7" Joying in my Ram a couple months ago and just took it out. Constant connection problems with my phone, it either wouldn't connect on startup or would disconnect while driving. Maybe it doesn't like my phone, IDK, but I'm done. The speed dependent volume also never worked, I installed another launcher with speed dependent volume, that worked for about a week, then stopped working properly. I'm very annoyed I spent $375 on what I though was a decent brand unit. Went to single DIN JVC with a little 3" screen for a backup camera, bluetooth only, no android auto.

Have you had any issue with overheating or getting v v hot?

Do not buy Joying products. I have the installed this kind of head unit to my subaru and had too many problems with it. The Joying customer service does not help me. They say "your order number is bad" while I send them a screen shot of a purchase on ebay. The unit has screen problems, network connection problems, car canbus connection problem, and the main problem - it does not play a sound on the car rear speakers. It's just a poor quality chinese product with no warranty. Be aware! See my videos about joying head unit problems!
