Hey Steve, just FYI you had the MK 19 on the top, looked like the .50 Cal was inside, and the metal thing sticking out of the hood area was the Snorkel for water crossing, it prevents water from being drawn into the intake system of the vehicle. I drove them extensively in my career.

He says that this HMMWV is not a toy and is not for everyone. I'm guessing that he was picked on a lot about playing with toys as a kid, now he wants to be considered as an adult while he still plays with toys that are more expensive without getting heckled on for spending lots of money on a hobby... Nothing wrong about spending lots of money on something to enjoy. Cool Humvee; been looking for a strong and detailed RC HMMWV for a while; I will put this one in my garage with a detailed rivet sheet metal design paint job.

I have one of these, and they are the best! I also have the 6x6 Cougar, and the 8x8 HEMTT. I think HG has totally owned the market with these trucks, worth every penny! Great video, really shows off the Hummers ability! Just a small point of note from a military/gun enthusiast; that is not a .50 cal Heavy MG, it is a MK 19 40 mm Automatic Grenade Launcher. The Couger is equipped however with the .50 cal Heavy MG in a power operated 360 turret.

Now that's just downright cool. I see the next rc I'll be adding to my collection. I like that they added the full exhaust, I'm sure it will come into use once the smoke kit in installed. I wonder if a little action figure will fit into the gunners seat? : )

I just got mine! Very very nice truck for sure. I disabled the turn signal 'click click' sound effect and made a modification to how the headlights work. Very much worth the $$. I use a 5200mah LiPo and I can wheel for 30-45min. Very happy 😎

And the pipe on the front of the vehicle is for fording. In other words. The engine can be fully submerged for river crossings, and this device will stop water getting into the air filter which would of course stall the engine.

I bought the Holystone 720 Drone you've reviewed (and also from your review I was urged to buy that particular one), for my 15-year-old Granddaughter. She's already becoming proficient in flying it and has had it up about four times already. I'm going to wait myself before I attempt it since I do have some disabilities that will probably make it a little more difficult for me to fly. I'll stick with the Hummer for now! Your reviews are great; quite thorough and entertaining. I just subbed your channel too.

Great review. I like your presentation. a nice mix of humor along with the great information. This is exactly what I am looking for, As I have looked at vendors the controllers for one are not the same as the transmitter you were using. there are various battery options ect. What company do I contact to get the Humvee you you presented.

I don't know if you know it yet, but it comes with a little pin that you can put in the front diff to lock it and make it true 4 wheel drive.

That is a very cool looking hummer, love it, I’d put a camera inside to fpv it and also make use of some of the other channels. Does that radio also have more model memories? because it looks good enough to be used for other things?

CAPT, new subscriber here. Found you first on one of the drones’ reviews (F11 Pro) and happy to see that we also shared the same interests in scale RCs as well. I’ve placed an order for the exact same car and can’t wait for it to arrive. My question is can I use NiMh battery with this set up? I’m reluctant to use LiPo and have several 5000 mAh, 7.2V NiMh with charger laying around. Please let me know. Thanks!

Not sure, but my guess is it should not be an issue. The only difference in using lipo and Nimh when voltages are the same is the way the low voltage cutoff works.

Hummer are Amazing Vehicles in life . This makes me Excited about a ground vehicle and I have not been WoW about anything for a long time, WOW I see it really driven in that snow like you would expect a real one wonder if it could Crawl..And I can't believe Im saying that I would enjoy the most boring thing! RC Crawlers,well if I had A Cool Military Vehicle Nothing should be able to out crawle Pull with all the different It would end up Duty and I would be pissed at myself but it happens

Expensive? Well, the Traxxas TRX4 Defender is about the same price. Sure this may not perform as well as a crawler (is it waterproof?), But, it's far more detailed. Scalers would have little to do to improve this rig. Btw, quality engine sound systems are about $100 on their own, and a clear body and interior are close to $100, throw in a lighting kit, and every metal upgrade available and a person would be close to this unit's purchase price, and we've not even considered the motor, servos, esc, 12ch rx & tx.

Yup, you can't compare this work of art to a basher RC Car or even a TRAXXAS Crawler (so undetailed & plastic are those vehicles). This one is not waterproof as UNDER WATER due to the ESC and Receiver being exposed (you'd have to encase them for that). But for driving in snow, dirt, mud, grass, pavement, it works fine

You can change the sounds to many different sounds. Open the hood, there are two buttons for this.

NORMAL mode on the DJI FPV is the same as flying a MAVIC. SPORT mode on the DJI FPV is the same as flying a MAVIC with no horizon stabilization when you bank. MANUAL mode on the DJI FPV is the same as flying an RC Hobby FPV Drone in ACRO.

Captain Drone, I just bought the exact one of these. It's super fun. I have to ask, is there anything one has to do differently when applying the stickers? Mine aren't really sticking. The servo is a bit finicky too but that's another story.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 Hey! Thanks so much for your note. I don't think that is the case. I tried to apply some water to the surface side that wasn't sticking and things did not seem to improve. The instructions mention nothing or show the application of water. It's really bizarre and I can only think I am simply missing something...

@@mr.bhartley2562 I'm guessing you are not as old as I am. In my days as a kid, if you built a model the stickers were all as they are in your kit. A tiny bit of water removes the sticker from the backing and you place it gently on the model. You may be from the days of self adhesive stickers :-)

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 I bet I am as old! I totally remember those stickers on the models I built as a kid. These ones, seem to not work that way but I'll try again with applying water to the side that should go against the truck. There is no text or image in the instruction manual that suggests one has to do that though. It totally appears to be... peel, press, and then slowly remove the plastic backing. The only tip it gives is to remove the film that may be on the truck - but there is none to remove... Either way, thanks so much for getting back to me. Hopefully this will work. Your video was one of the ones that cause me to get this thing. The only thing I'd like to do is get the stickers on! :-) And also to change the wheels and lock the differentials. It's a fun truck to learn off. The only problem I'm having is the steering servo locks up now and then. I think I'll try greasing the steering mechanism and see if something may be catching it somewhere. Thanks again for your help and thoughts. It's appreciated, as with your videos.

How wide is it with mirrors folded in? And is that the same as the wheel base width? I have a shelf that is 10.125 inches wide that I want to put it on.

Can you show how you got the steering to work. I just unboxed mine and my steering isn't working with remote

The remote was already bound to the car, which means the joystick and swtiches were already set up. Steering works as you drive forward with left joystick and steer with right joystick.

@@CAPTAINDRONE798 hmmm I guess mine will have to be replaced. I can drive straight that's it, lights and sound works. The start up switch doesn't work.

Captain Drone; I hope you see this since there is some confusion in my mind about the battery you are using. I wanted to make certain that I got the correct one, the one you have shown here, but Amazon doesn't have that particular one; at least I couldn't find it. Can you share where you purchased yours? Thanks much, it was your video here that prompted me to order this Hummer today and I'd like to have a battery here when it arrives. . ;-)

I have so many batteries that I can't recall where it came from. Just look for a 2 cell Lipo battery that is around 4000 to 4500 mah and is flat - long rectangular in shape and has a deans connector. You will need something to charge the battery as well. @@CAPTAINDRONE798 Thank you; I was able to find them at Banggood.com for $23.99 each and purchased four! I live out a bit in the countryside and have a large field next to my front porch. I plan on using this a lot throughout the next few months. The Hummer itself is supposed to arrive in 7 to 10 days. Now I'm going to check out the source you've sent for a Charger for the batteries...Thanks again!

I think it is more 1/8 or 1/7 th scale. As for a figurine, perhaps 4 or 5" tall. I'm justing doing the measurements from memory.

@@stevelaminack1516 There is a scam that has been going around for the past six months. $1000 RC Cars are shown for $50. People end up with a $10 RC Car. Lots of vids on KZfaq about it. Hopefully you get something a bit more than $10.
