Excellent review. What would build even more confidence for me is if you informed us if you paid for the sample or were given it. Also, if the manufacturer is reviewing the content before published. It just lets us the viewer put your opinions in context. Thanks!

Thank you for reviewing these synthetic mats, I injured my shoulder by hitting too many range balls off a crappy mat! A little known golf product, but one that deserves it's own series of reviews IMO. Thanks again, if you decide to do a testing series on mats, that'd be great!

I have a small 2x3 Country Elite Real Feel mat I use next to an old driving range mat someone gave me and it works out pretty well. It leaves a mark on the sole of the irons too, but does come right off so no biggie. I think the shedding you experienced will slow down over time. Seems like a good mat. I am looking for a full size like this one and it's in the running now. Thanks man - solid review.

I have the CCE mat and find it tugs on irons that are even slightly fat causing me wrist/forearm pain but I do use it a lot daily. Also, IMO mat over penalizes on performance which my supplier agrees with. I am looking to cut CCE mat and insert a different mat. FB sounds more forgiving but I would like to know if putting is good on the various mats as I play TGC2019 daily and want something true for putts as well. CCE is very good for putting. I have heard FB not great for putting?? Do you think monster mat good for putting?

I don't understand why they place the tee holes in the center of the mat's. Most of us don't have the ball directly in the middle of our stances, but toward our front foot. Why not have the tee holes in the mat toward the front of the mat from the factory? I drilled out a hole and made it much nicer!! Enjoying your reviews and videos, just getting into them.

I say this as a Canadian, who previously did a lot of indoor winter practice - never hit your short irons and wedges, besides a quick warmup, off of mats - it will destroy your game when you return to real grass - you will quickly develop a lazy picking style for your short irons off mats, that will result in brutal blades and chunks off real grass when spring returns. My rule of thumb now is only 6/5/4 irons to work on your swing mechanics, 3-woods off the matt, and tee'd-up Drivers.

@@jamesdunn581 it's holding up very well so far. I got it in March or April and it gets about 400-500 swings per week (matches w friends). I rotate it once per month to balance the use per side (which is why you get the 5x5 size).

Agree. He could rotate and turn his hips over and kick through the 'Mat' more. Also if he rotates on the ball of the foot that helps with momentum.

I love your videos (especially the Eastlake Visit). I'm very disappointed in your last two product videos (Bloodline and Monster Mats). You seem to be rep-ing products vs being completely an independent reviewer of products. Quattromat is a better mat and doesn't leave marks on the clubs.

I have a 5x4 mat that I use off of a cement floor in my extra garage, and it cost about half of what the monster mat costs. My mat has been in use for over a year, and there is virtually no sign of wear. I think the Monster Mat is overpriced, and my biggest concern is the fibers coming off. Only time will tell of course, but I fear that the Monster Mat will wear faster than my mat has. I get a little green residue if I hit a lot of balls with one club, but not any fibers, all the way back to when I bought it. I have hit at least 1000 shots off the mat, and no visible wear, and I haven't rotated it.

1000 shots is a pittance Range mats get that many in one day per mat. But I too am curious about the longevity of the monster matt that looks similar to the mats at the world wide golf shops hitting bays
