Hey, what's up, guys? Welcome back to another video! Today we have another Spidey comic for y'all, so strap yourselves in. Mythos: Spider-Man struck me as a GREAT retelling of Peter Parker's origin from Amazing Fantasy #15, so I decided to share it here with you guys. If you want more retro comic retellings like this, or just more Spider-Man videos in general, go ahead and leave a like on this video so I know. Also, comment your thoughts on the story and subscribe to be notified when I upload! Thanks, and enjoy the video.

i also like how Peter is responsible for his uncles death in one more way here. He brought the money back home, the same money the killer saw and decided to steal, which lead do Uncle Bens death. A new tie between his actions and their results

5:07 Bro, as a diehard Conan fan, he’s got the master of baiting bear behind him, one of the funniest Conan bits I can remember. Also, can’t believe they got the goat in the comic.

1:30 oh man, how I wish uncle Ben was right. In the real world hardly anything happens to a bully, they go on to live very happy and fulfilling lives, don't suffer any consequence for their actions and don't even remember the name of the people they used to bully

Yeah because people grow up and try to turn their lives around. While the other person still thinks about it

@@Kooky95 yeah i agree with you. What i was trying to say is that this advice of "your bullies will get their comeuppance" is too common and is terrible advice, because people waste years fantasizing about their bullies getting screwed instead of trying to heal their traumas and a lot of the times it consumes their lives
@Douio
@Douio 21 күн бұрын
@@Kooky95 the bullies still did bad stuff regardless in the past and never got any consequences. It only proves that as future generations this is basically saying it's ok to be a jerk just as long as you grow up and forget about it. This is what causes some people to have lingering hatred for them and what allows people to think being a bully is an ok thing to happen because they're getting away with something that should've been stopped by an authoritative figure and it'll continue to happen unless someone gets them to stop in the present. You could make the direct comparison to Spider-Man's villains. Imagine if they did all those crimes including the most unforgivable ones then just up and deciding to give up the battle and forget everything they did just as long as they aren't doing it again. Would that not be unfair to the innocent civilians that they get away with everything just because they decided to not be villains anymore. People would be pissed if Carnage got away with anything if all he decided to do was quit and work at a 9 to 5 not feeling any remorse for his actions, just like how a bully might not regret their actions later on in life when they've done cruel things to innocent people who didn't do them any wrong.

The next tom movie should open with this aspect of peter just a five ten minute collage without cutting from crime to crime show his commute make it lengthy but no speaking not even to criminals. Showing peter be lowley and criminals are familiar enough with him to know hes not cracking jokes. Maybe some take it the wrong way as if their winning making fun of his suit. Then finally he arrives back home showcasing how alone he is as he just goes to bed and it pans to a pic of aunt may uncle ben and peter. Then idk what else but that should be the tone by the end he takes more pride in being a role model for kids and a symbol of nyc feeling like its his new family and can be happy about that

@@Pat12379 during the beginning of regular show Rigby would cause a lot of the problems, not only that but anytime he got power he would abuse it constantly. Overtime we saw him grow as a person but we got a glimpse of his family life with his dad either comparing him to his little brother or saying he won’t amount to anything. If Rigby was in Peter’s shoes he would have done the same and let him through. The reason on why Peter ended up different is because his father figure ingrained positive values into him, whereas everywhere Rigby went he was told he was a screw up who wouldn’t amount to anything which ended up as a self fulfilling prophecy.

2:03 Similar to the classic 616 comics. Peter was a loner he never had any friends he meet Mary Jane and Harry in college. Oscrop didn't exist until Peter entered in college. Peter was a lonwr it was until his senior years of high school where Peter became more confident of himself gaining a short life relationship with both Liz Allan and later Betty Brant and becoming friends with Flash Thompson.

This whole thing is a retelling of Amazing Fantasy #15. Just like in this story, Peter actually used his Spider-Man persona on TV after he did wrestling. Nearly everything about this comic is one-to-one with Amazing Fantasy #15.

So, Peter Parker is basically one man army angsty genius teen with PTSD that one-sidedly decided the best use of his hyperbolic cognitive capabilities and paraphysical abilities is to launch himself into a self-righteous crusade against crime. Like, wtf? It's like a kind of violent therapy or cheap way to ease his feelings of guilt. Considering that he starts like a teen (and I don't think that an adult has to be better anyways) is reasonable and then he meets the villains, yadda, yadda. But it's kind of Amazing how The Spider-Man never considered to make things really better. Yeah, it's writers' fault, but it's crazy how all of these heroic moral paragons just limit themselves to face physical disputes instead of looking for systemic changes for the ordinary person.
