@@dakodatrumble4981Too heavy - white bread is just light and tasteless enough that its the perfect vessel for the peanut butter and jelly. Honeywheat is too healthy. Bonus points: After you cut it, you have to leave it on the table for like 5 minutes so you can come in from playing outside, wash your hands, and ask for a glass of milk. The bread should be supple but lightly dry on the outside to accentuate the moisture of the fillings.

I used to work as a manager in a hotel and I'd watch at the breakfast buffet all of these international travelers having absolutely no idea how to fix a bowl of cereal for themselves. They would take the empty bowl to the milk dispenser and fill it TO THE BRIM of the bowl leaving no room for cereal! The smarter ones would leave at least half an inch to the brim. Then they'd very slowly walk the milk filled bowl to the cereal dispensers and they'd twist the lever to release about 1/2 a cup of cereal into their sea of milk, which at this point is already spilling from the bowl, and then they'd walk it back very slowly to their table in the dining room, spilling all over the place on the way to their seats. Some of them would only fill the milk halfway up the bowl, and they had more success in a way, but then they would also mix all 6 varieties of cereal together! I'm talking Cinnamon Toast Crunch mixed with Froot Loops mixed with Cocoa Puffs mixed with Honey Granola! I watched this happen every morning for 7 years, and I kid you not it was the case with about 80% of foreign travelers. So obviously they do things differently regarding cereal in other parts of the world. To each his own. What I can't fathom is the repeat offenders who would continue this the following morning after seeing the correct, easy way to do it. One girl used to put coffee in the bowl instead of milk and then add the cereal to the coffee with just a bit of creamer, and she'd let it soak a bit before eating. She was from Saudi Arabia. Nice girl. Ate breakfast like it was the end of the world. She stayed with us for a long time, then later accused one of our front desk agents of sexual harassment. I watched the security videos in the lobby that centered on the time and place of the accused situation and discovered that SHE was very obviously trying to get HIS attention, and he barely even notices her antics. I should have know by her eating habits that she was crazy.

You must try a preserve made from Asian pears . My grandmere used to make it and traditional jellies cannot compare. Blend peanut butter and cashew butter 50/50 for a new experience .

You put it on backwards. You supposed to put the peanut butter and jelly on the sides that meet together where the bread was originally sliced. That way it fits back together seamlessly and you get let drippage.

Here's how I make a pp&j 1.get 2 slices of bread and put butter on one side of both 2. Put the peanut butter on the side without butter 3. On the other slice of bread, do the same but with jelly 4. Put it into the oven until it's crispy 5. Add slices of banana 6. Get a cold glass of milk 7. Enjoy your sandwich and make sure to dip it in milk!

I put extremely light amount of peanut butter on both side of the bread, then heavy jelly in the middle, this makes the sandwich extra juicy without making the bread soggy

Well, your first mistake is, before jelly, you butter that side. 2nd mistake is using grape jelly. Obviously, the correct choice is strawberry spread on top of the butter side. Now you have a perfect pb&j.
