Jack Grealish has had his ups and downs at Manchester City. His Man City career got off to a fairly slowly but he managed to become an integral part of Manchester City treble winning side in 2022/23.
The following season for Jack Grealish was plagued by injuries and his offensive output suffered as a result. Now, with the 2024/25 Premier League season fast approaching, Jack Grealish has still got the same competition for his position to deal with, in Jeremy Doku, but also the new arrival at Man City - Savio.
Will Jack Grealish be able to maintain a spot in Pep Guardiola's starting eleven, or will the likes of Savio and Jeremy Doku keep Jack Grealish on the bench, or worse, on the transfer list?

@@jereflechis4014 I understand that but that is the only option I can think of since Grealissh knows the position very well despite he isn't currently playing it, otherwise he'll have to leave I think but that would be wrong in my personal opinion.

Personally I’d like to see grealish play more central. Hes got all the ability Definitely don’t think it’s his time to go just had a few injuries this season. He will be back strong next season

It does look like Jack is being squeezed out but a large offer for KDB from Saudi Arabia might give Jack the chance to reinvent himself. I hope he can regain his form and play plenty of minutes next season

Jack's been injured. And he's been playing with his injuries rather than having the time away to recuperate. KDB is getting older and will have more time away from the squad through injuries as time passes. Jack may be moved inside and further back to strengthen the midfield and help provide service up to the forwards or to the wingers as an attacking "8" with Kovacic as a defensive "8". I'm pretty sure, one way or another, he'll get used.

Grealish is more valuable to our team then our fan base gives him credit for. We have a sensational player that has always turned up most when it matters. Watching Jack at Villa, he was unstoppable and that’s what we paid 100 million for, I think if he had abit more freedom to show his personality and be able to showcase his wide variety of skills through midfield, we’d see the true him. He’s class on and off the pitch, and an absolute asset to the football club.

This could very well be the last season for grealish at city with savio coming in. Doku is only gonna get better and savio looks electric. Grealish better step it up this season or he's done at city.

Grealish is a good defender, draws tons of fouls, and can help slow down the game when needed. I think he's also great for the morale and personality of the club. I hope he gets another chance. Love Graelish.

I'm a massive Grealish fan and its an outrage he isn't playing for England, however at Citeh, your central midfield is so slow now you need pace out wide. Grealish is an old style no 10 being forced out wide. Haaland scores 1.3 with Grealish in the side and 0.6 without him.

You can't play in all games with Doku and Savio. Pep will not give up controlling the games, he needs players who can keep the ball like Jack and Bernardo. Dribblers to give you options in attack but they are a vulnerability when they lose the ball.

We Still need him , depending on the opponents game plan ,even though ,Pep can shift Grealish to a more deeper and central midfield role , Grealish defensive ,and take on is outstanding , i think Pep has other plans for Grealish ,anything is possible under Pep.

City's forwards are never instructed not to take on their man on the outside. Grealish was never asked not to take on the fullback. Pep himself has always stated in the last third our forwards do what they want and make their own decisions, as I cannot tell them how to create a goal.

Pep’s talking about the 18 yard box when he talks about freedom. J.G rarely gets inside the box and was being told to stay wide to drag defenders over. What Pep tells the media vs what he tells his players aren’t always the same. J.G was doing what Pep was asking him to do, otherwise he wouldn’t have played so much

Watch the clip at 3:41 he says the wingers have to dribble, Managers keep saying keep the ball, but show your talent. It's a total myth Pep says to Grealish keep possession made up by fanboys just because that's all Grealish can do.

@@TruBlu93 No! Pep didn't ask him to do anything specific that's my point, Grealish chooses not to take on players because he can't, and I feel Pep has grown tired of this. A bit of both would be nice to keep the defender guessing.

Jack's been played out of position since he arrived. Three titles later, he deserves a chance centrally, but I'm not sure he'll get it. If he doesn't, we can all pretend (as usual) that he "wanted to leave".

Good video mate (although the background music volume was too high in places). Grealish to the centre with KDB or Foden in any combination - KDB is not getting any younger now so Jack could step up when he goes.

I'd like too see him back at Villa again,but we won't pay the wages he gets at City & he's not gonna take a pay cut,so even if he's not starting regularly, its a great option to have for City & with 3 years remaining on his contract I don't see him leaving tbh..... up the fuck'in Villa!!!😊

Struggling with small injuries - lost a bit of confidence that should come back but I’m still not a fan and don’t think it was money well spent . Pep has got to fix him otherwise he’ll be another Pogba .

He needs to get his head down, come back early, knock all distractions on the head, extra training, extra gym, take a leaf out of Haaland's book and just focus on football. He'll get a full pre-season unlike the rest of the midfield who've been in Germany. He needs to take that opportunity with both hands and make himself undroppable. Pep is not averse to building teams and playing styles around players - everything can be changed if a viable alternative becomes apparent.

Jack's a good player but he'd been a loss for us since we bought him. The price we paid was stupid his wages plus in his contract there will be something about how many minuets and starts he should have. Where as if we got rid and brought in a raw young talent similar to doku pep could rotate them far easier with less issues.

Grealish will be the wise old head in the changing room when Walker & De Bryne move on. You need an experienced mentor at a club, to carry on the lineage of winning.

I don't think Pep ever told Grealish not to dribble, I don't believe that. I think Pep looks at the strength of his players and adapts to that. Grealish is not a dribbler, he's a ball progressor, not a dribbler. Pep recognized that and gave him a role conducive to his strengths. Sterling and Sane and now Doku were given freedom to dribble, why? Because that's their strength, so Pep will allow you to do certain things that are congruent with your strengths. As for Grealish leaving, if he has another subpar season then he'll be gone by the end of the season imo

Appreciate the feedback mate. This video format will be every now and then cause they take a lot longer. My usual format will still be the most common type of video but the aim is always to inform and entertain and I can’t please everyone unfortunately
