Hi mate, wonderful, what a couple of days adventuring, absolutely stunning views, the Cairngorms certainly are a different landscape to that of the Western side. All the best Dave 😀🥾⛰🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

I loved it so much I had to watch it again. I love the Cairngorms and you provide such a different perspective. Stunning views and you had some fantastic weather. Such an exposed area. Fabulous & thanks again for your fine effort and sharing your unique experience. Keep up with the funny lines & lovely smiles. 😊

Great video again. Do you ever go fishing? I heard Scotland has some good river and lake fishing. My friends and family usually just fish rivers for trout like I mentioned before. These days we just catch and release though. We used to keep some trout and cook them. The fish tasted alright but honestly I would rather have a nice steak haha. It's also good to catch and release because the fish population has been declining here for decades due to overfishing. It's better for future generations.

I’ve never actually been fishing before but it seems like a really peaceful and relaxing experience. Would probably be a bit nicer than the usual rubbish I eat aswell😂😂

I think your videos are fantastic. Think the cairngorm one is a favourite of mine. Definitely one of my favourite places. I’d be interested to know some of the equipment you take with you as I sometimes struggle to know what to pack myself. Thank you for some great footage. 👍

Loving the videos, excellent stuff and especially through my favourite backpacking area. BTW in case nobody else has said Beinn Mheadhoin is pronounced Beinn Viane ( veeanne) walkhighlands has a pronunciation part helpful especially the big one above Affic hostel! Keep up the good work plenty adventures to come

Great video. FYI "beinn mheadhoin" isn't actually pronounced anything like it looks (especially not "Ben midoyne"!) It's pronounced "Bine Vane", and it means the middle hill, because of where it is in the range. Also, that was lucky on your day to cross the Yellow Moss (Moine Bhealaidh): the big peat bog between the first and second mountains. It always seems to rain for me, and as you might have experienced it's a lot longer than it looks from the top of Beinn Bhreac! P.S> Ben Avon, counter-intuitively, is pronounced Ben A'an. What a great morning ascent. I think I might copy your camping route.

Yeh it’s a great route, maybe wouldn’t camp exactly where we camped though, the ground wasn’t very flat 👍

Oh, I thought I'd let the dust settle over your problematic pronunciations of gaelic hill and place names.😂😂 But it's hard to get irritated when one can just sink back and soak in the unfolding vistas of the hills and glens of ones youth and the ever-cheerful but thought provoking commentary, no matter what the weather and topography throw at you and your companion.🫡 You took the time to capture a small but precious encounter with one of the smaller denizens of the unforgiving tundra of the high Cairngorm plateau. Unless I'm mistaken, a Snow Bunting, sadly just one. Not so long ago, at this time of year, there would be chattering flocks skipping the snow patches dodging the ptarmigan and Arctic hares, and of course, those curious two legged beasts of burden (aka munro- baggers) grinding up the hill!!
@williemacbeth
@williemacbeth Ай бұрын
that was the most horrific pronunciation of Scottish hill names I have ever had the misfortune to hear. You really need to get a book on Scottish place and hill names and how to pronounce them. This will give you a better insight about the area you happen to be travelling in.
