I think i just discovered the sound of my childhood. my mom used to teach piano in a yamaha music school, and i would play around the keyboards, following along the demo tracks. Also, one of her fave tracks, and my favourite piece that i would always ask her to play for me is Kei’s song by David Benoit. I guess i have a type

Same here. But I feel that counting 3/4 is so much more satisfying. Because by counting the beat slow, the upbeats seem more accented.

@@jsswift87 unless we see written sheet music from the composer, it's all up to our own interpretation. You can have subdivisions in compound meter just as easily as you can have many triplets in 4/4 (like the Shuffle style).

Yeeh finally! This is a song I will never forget it was my favourite song once. It has one of the best melodies I ever heard! I mean how can a beginning already be so beautiful :) A friend transcriped it once for me and gave it to me as a birthday present. I really appreciated that and it was such a fun to check it out. But I never really got it cause my piano skills are limited ... Anyway, I had the privilege to taste the melody by my own ;D
