Now we see why this setup was in late 60s rock and some early (rudimentary) metal. Also, this proves to the old-timer purists, that "rock n'roll" and metal are not Satanic. I've always gotten vibes like that from music like this. Classical training at its finest.
@mrnasty02106
@mrnasty02106 10 ай бұрын
@@ChangeforJonathan I should elaborate when I said, "classical training, at its finest." Classically-trained musicians are downright scary, both in the way they play, and in real life. High intelligence = high talent = frightening. Not music to my ears. There's more to what I said. It all comes from the days, when no mics or amps were involved. I mention Enrico Caruso in many of my posts. No one (not even close) can be the human equivalent of this instrument/speaker, than that dead dago. Classical music lovers invented what you heard and see (an unfortunate fact). I wish we could move on from that, and do better. While it is not purely Bach (monstrous pipes), I'm sure any other dago (like Donizetti or Pavarotti) would be proud. After all, it's the screaming, shouting, yelling, and nervous-wreck sound...that this shit makes. At the time (when hard rock first came to the world), it was really a fusion of classical music's, manic-depressive side, with amps. That's enough for now.

@mrnasty02106
@mrnasty02106 8 ай бұрын
@@channingtaintum From what I know about musicians, many of the younger ones are in it for a gig and a paycheck. They'll take anything they can get. This most true for keyboard players. So, it's possible the drummer's regular line of work is in rock/metal. The guy in the video (star) certainly does this for a living, and not just on Sunday.

For those that don’t know, these, my friends, are called preacher chords. It’s very common in many african american churches where the preacher (usually, but not limited to, a preacher that has the ability to sing) would put a melody in his voice and end his sermon with a “whoop” as a form of praise. Some preachers whoop in the same key, while others like to modulate. The man preaching is E Dewey Smith of Atlanta Georgia. Also, beginning at 2:00 is what we call a praise break. It’s a sequence of gospel music played at a fast beat, around 150-170 beats per minute, followed by dancing from members of the congregation. Praise breaks can occur any time during a high-spirited church service, such as after the announcements, after an inspirational song, and often right after the preacher finishes his whoop. Hope i helped :). I am extremely impressed that you were able to transcribe his notes down.

Thanks for the clarification. I was born in the wrong race (the one who invented what is heard here). I certainly wouldn't make it at a church/area like that. I would perceive this a lot differently, if God made me someone else. All I can think of is opera, or certain types of metal ("a caccaphony of screaming" and extreme emotion). This is what my parents call "headache music." The same goes for the shit heard on La Ley and Que Buena. I really wish I wasn't white (thank God I am not rich...just imagine how much worse that would be).

When my kids were 8 and 12, they were invited to worship at a church in Chicago. They were eager to go to a “black church” because they only knew what they had been raised with. Most of their church friends are black and when I heard the church name, I knew about it, a church experience with a ‘little more’. When they got home that evening, I was excited to hear what they had to say. First they talked about the strong music, then the colorful preaching and “a million amens”. But then they paused, and one of them said, “Dad, we were the only white people there in a building full of 400 people. We felt like a couple of marshmallows in the hot chocolate!” I’ve laughed about that for years. 😂

@whatsnextnora
@whatsnextnora 4 ай бұрын
@@zhou_sei Honestly, it's not the religion, Christianity that excludes people; it's individuals within the church creating rules. God ordained leaders, metaphorically called shepherds, like kings, priests, Sadducees, and Pharisees, now recognized as pastors. God chose Jeroboam to lead His people after taking the kingdom from Solomon's son due to sin. Unfortunately, Jeroboam forgot God, fearing for his life, leading the people astray. Jeroboam's actions, violating the Ten Commandments, serve as a reminder not to put absolute trust in flawed individuals. Nobody is perfect; placing complete trust in imperfect people can lead to spiritual deviation, church hurt, and division. That's why it's crucial not to rely solely on others to tell you about God. Instead, seek a personal relationship with God and get to know Him directly for yourself. HOPE THIS HELPs, plz tell me if I did a poor job of answering your question.
