My road bike was at my LBS for repairs, been graveling for 2 weeks. Back on the road now i am quite a bit faster and fitter.

Great video, it’s funny watching you ride all the trails that I used to ride. Just watch out for rangers😉 They are a real ride killer.

Another con is starting to do stupid stuff mountain biking and getting injured. Don't ask me how I know 😂 I personally moved over to road from MTB because of repeated crashes and injuries. I still go out a few times a year and it's good fun. I take it way easier now. I fully agree that on most group road rides, I feel like I am more comfortable descending and cornering than most people.

Sorry to hear about the bad luck. I've actually found the opposite: MTB crashes generally happens at lower speed, and often you end up in a bush or at least softer ground. Road crashes often happen at high speed, and there is almost never anything soft around to land on - only unforgiving tarmac.

biggest benefit I think is Vo2max on steep climbs and neuromuscular when you're muscling yourself over obstacles.

100%!! I also recommend not using full sus if you want an extra workout. The legs get an extra good workout on the downhill and definitely helps your bike handling skills even more.

Full suspension heavier for uphill and more fun for downhill, hard tails are whaaack!

@@chris4221x to each their own. I prefer having to make sure I make the right line choice instead of allowing my suspension to just let me roll over anything…. Kind of defeats the purpose of mtb if you ask me.

Hardtail is actually faster most of the time so if you go the same speed on a hardtail and full sus, the full sus would be more of a workout.
@perfectzero84
@perfectzero84 Жыл бұрын
@@fireball1462 it’s faster on the climbing but on the decent you are using your legs for suspension and it is a workout. There is no sitting on your saddle for a break, you are stuck in a squat until the decent ends.
