Your channel isn’t a van life channel… it is a cooking show, a biking show, a hiking show, a peek collecting show an inflatable boat show, epic videos if nature show and a dog show. We love it for so many reasons 👍

Absolutely, I agree completely. Foresty and Rocko are like that brother and lil sister that you just love to hang out with but don't get to that often because of distance. But when you do hang out, you want to know everything they've been up to! Foresty is a man of many, many talents and that Rocko is absolutely adorable!

Well said! I wonder if Foresty realizes how crowded his van actually is when he sits down to eat, or how crowded those mountain peaks are when he takes us all along with him.I would add one more category, mental health, it is so refreshing to spend time watching this channel I can get so lost in Rocko and Foresty's adventures,I think I am smelling the pine and hearing the silence on the mount peaks.

My family can't understand how I can live alone and be happy. Your comments regarding van life are spot on. A lot of people don't realize you take hours of video that include the struggles of doing what you do and can't include it all. Van life seems easy as a result, when it is easy at TIMES. I bought a van for weekend trips and gained a lot of respect for the planning/work that goes into moving around. I guess that is why your channel is a pleasure to watch. I get a fun guy and his dog and beautiful scenery with no work required. Thanks Foresty!!

Hi I wanted to thank you for your content. I have followed you for over a year now. I really appreciate that you’ve stayed humbled and true to your cause. I've been watching KZfaq pretty consistently since 2006 and I can say that this is the only channel I have not missed an episode on. While other channels fabricate stories, exaggerate, click bate or just in general try to impress. You just live your life and challenge yourself. There is a simplicity, honesty and wholesomeness to this channel that I don't get tired of. Doesn't matter if you're cooking, cleaning or climbing, in here for it! I'm sure many would agree, I feel spoiled with the extra content coming out lately. I hope that means you're feeling a bit better

I know people who'd lose if they didn't cling to their entourage. I spent 9 summers on fire towers, and as long as I could go to the woods and spot critters, I was fine. They were all my babies, and I encountered hundreds, peacefully, and they were all the connection I needed to feel at home. Two hours after I was alone my very first day the Queen of the forest - a drop dead gorgeous sable Siamese grizzly with her typical triplets - ambled through my yard. I only saw her again my last year on that tower. She knew. She was the Queen. I know in my heart that her presence that first day was a sign I had been expected.

Some people just don't feel comfortable in circles, or in circles for long. They are shy, introverted(which is actually different), or both. I appreciate seeing the rugged West through the eyes of Foresty Forest , his van and his dog Rocko. You make outdoor videos like nobody else. You also make mountaineering almost accessible to a novice like me. I eagerly await another adventure in the Purcells.

Really appreciate this post, it's timely for me. I've been a 30% van-lifer for the past 10-years, a touring musician performing for seniors exclusively as 'Jimmy's Old Time Radio Show', living frugally while working, so I have the "mobile income" thing you mentioned. I've already spent 48 nights in my van this year, my maritime tour just winding-down, lots of travel ahead. It's this time of year when I make big decisions about the following year and I've been considering taking up a notch, ditching my place and going all-in as a van-lifer from April - November, then renting a seasonal place in the winter, rather than paying big bucks for my place I hardly see, but it's nice when I'm there. As for the cookbook thing, it's all plagiarism, all cooking is based on other cooking, so if any van-lifer could go for it, it's you. Thanks for the inspiration, dude.

Thank you FF and Rocko. I have been full time in a truck and 19’ ( 4 in a 16’ ) trailers,, 10th year. I do not feel good indoors in a house or motel. I love watching your videos and totally get when u say if people were with us full time,, they might fine it less dreamy 😅. I travel with a cat. Big hugs from Quebec Canada. I am always glad when you two make it back to your Van safe and sound ❤❤

I agree with the idea of higher quality of life when you own your personal space (living in an owned van is better than living in a rented apartment). I have been in my suv 90% of the time since the beginning of 2023. I was doing it part time for a couple of years since October 2021. I am glad that I can now do it full time

Word of advice, you need to keep the evaporator coil in your refrigerator ice free as much as possible, it will last a lot longer that way! 25 years HVAC experience!

@@pollenayeung5815 ... The evaporator coil is where the refrigerant turns from a liquid to a gas, if the coil is heavily iced up the coil will not absorb enough heat to fully evaporate the refrigerant, from the evaporator coil the refrigerant travels to the compressor, the compressor is designed to compress gas, not liquid!

@@byates59 Thank you for the technical information. Is it like the other comment, just open door to let it melt? To me, that has to empty the fridge and doesn't make sense. I just want to know how to clear the ice built up.
@byates59
@byates59 Жыл бұрын
@@pollenayeung5815 ... What I do with my small refrigerators and freezers is: I empty them, carry the emptied refrigerator outside, hose it out with water thus cleaning and thawing the coil at the same time, it takes less than 10 minutes, then I use a blower and a towel to dry it out before carrying it back inside, then I reload it with the refrigerated items and plug it back into the electrical receptacle! Not only will this prolong the life of the refrigerator but it will also run more efficiently! Of course this procedure only needs to be done with refrigerators and freezers that do not have defrost heaters built in!

The lifestyle sounds great to me. I've always the urge to roam and explore but could never afford it. I plan to save enough to get me by the first year then work on finding a spot I want to be a bit and get a part time job to get more money up to move on. It's scary but I plan to have several backup plans. I think I'll buy some cheap az land as a home base in case I need it or just want to homestead a while. Anyway, I got my Foresty Forest Tshirt today!! I love it! Happy trails, Simon!
