Can’t stop looking at the different tones of the top.

Bought a new D45 for 8100 recently and its sound is unparalleled. Even my Dove or Taylor 6x don’t have the resonance, sustain, and pleasant ring.

I love how Coop (see what I did there?) is showing restraint, gingerly playing this super 'spensive guitar.

Another great video, and love the humor and sarcasm (…”cheaper than a Tesla” 😂). As for the D-45 Modern Deluxe - when discussing how expensive a high end Martin is, I think it should always be mentioned (for the naysayers) that these guitars typically go UP in value over time. Not only do you get an absolutely amazing guitar, but you get a good ‘investment’ as well. Many cheaper guitars are the ones that end up worthless, or in garage sales for next to nothing. I remember buying my first and only expensive watch. A friend said ‘…you could have bought a watch for a 100th of the price, that will also tell the time’. Since then the ‘ridiculously over-priced’ watch I bought has almost tripled in value. And it’ll be a family heirloom, just like the ‘over-priced’ Martin HD-28 I bought many years ago, which has always been an absolute dream to play AND has already gone up in value. I own a lot of much cheaper guitars. They don’t sound anywhere near as good and they’re worth way less than I paid for them. As the saying goes, ‘Some people know the price of everything, and the value of nothing.”

An absolutely fabulous guitar. I like the less in-your-face inlay work along the fretboard than the Standard D45. In addition, if you are in the market for a Marin D45 why wouldn’t you spend the additional money to get hide glue, a lighter carbon fibre bridge plate, a tariffed top and the liquid metal bridge pins. If you are able to shop in that rarified territory it’s a no-brainer.

Bicolored top, lighter and darker. Love the sound. . Predicting this ends up in Coopers top 5 at the end of the year.

It’s a lovely sounding guitar. I am a little curious how many of these guitars will be bought but then not played. That would be unfortunate. At that price point a lot of folks look at them as investments, but they’re instruments that need to be played.

I love it. It’s beautiful, it sounds great. I can’t afford it, but it’s wonderful. I love my Martin DM mahogany too. That’s what I’ll have to keep playing.

The cellular refraction on the top doesn't freak me it is a part of the wood itself that can't be detected in the uncut top pre cutting piece fo wood .

I'm a petite gal & play 00 size guitars.....otherwise I'd be playing Martin dreds. This would be my "dream guitar" and would find a way to buy it. Expensive? Yes and No. (less the nursing home & relatives get) 🤣😆🤣 This guitar , for the sound and looks it offers........well.......lets put it this way........is around the same price point of some other brands.......however , they don't have THAT sound along with the "look" .....IMO🎸🎸🎸

It really has everything, including the binding ejection system that's 100% free and Martin makes sure their guitars have it, that's consistency 😂 Jokes aside, on both the Acoustic Guitar Forum and the Unofficial Martin Guitar Forum, there a new threads and comments, almost every single month about people dealing with loose bindings, shrinking bindings and neck resets from Martin guitars that were purchased brand new between 2014 and 2023. Considering how much Martin asks for their products, it is unacceptable to have said issues present so early. As one user of these forums pointed out: "If these issues were showing up on any other brand, they would be drowning in their own blood. But Martin gets a huge pass." Which is sad, because it means Martin will just ignore said issues and never fix them.

Correction: They don't ALL eject. Not all Martin guitars have binding.

I'm waiting for Martin to make a D-41 Modern Deluxe.

I love my D-28 Modern Deluxe, and it is owned. The D-45 Modern Deluxe has almost too much bling for me, but the sound is great. What strings cone on that guitar? I've been using either Tommy Emmanuel Martin strings or D'Addario XS. Thanks, Chris and Cooper.

I really like the modern deluxe and wish I could just buy one without the torrefied top. I would prefer to have all those specs but with some fresh wood.

It sounds nice but my LL16 goes head to head with it and cut's right thru it's sound. My buddy has one and we play in a jam every sat. You have one with an ugly top. Are they too stupid to bookmark the top?

Maybe it's my impression but I think that Martin is losing a bit of his luster and above all I realize that the woods chosen are often less visually beautiful compared to those of the past; I am wrong??

I spent 14’000 in 2019 on a 2007 Infiniti with 62’000 miles on it at time, why in the heck would any one spend just shy of 11’000 dollars on a guitar. Even if I was rich or wealthy I wouldn’t spend that kind of money on a guitar.

Okay I gave it till 3:45 when I just gave up. If there has ever been a marketing piece, it is this one. Have you seen the top ,in real life? Or did you just leave it alone in this video? This is the Jekyll and Hyde of guitars. Masquerading as a high-end luxury piece. While deep underneath it is nothing more than trailer trash. Even Taylor could not look this bad if it tried.

Martin acoustics are expensive over priced, because you are paying for the brand name. There are other acoustic that has same sound quality and are way cheaper and affordable.
