The vision on these is incredible, even at night, sound is meh, but these cameras all pick up wind noise, as the other ones do, so if you want sound you would have to find somewhere to live where there isn't a constant wind, not here! Wired is the way to go

The kit does not come with a monitor, but I like to hook these up with a small touch screen monitor that I hang on a wall in the hall so I can see all cameras when I want to and control the box with touch instead of having to use a mouse.@@alex35_8

The 4 cameras are a good place to start, with the 2TB of storage sufficient for that. Adding more cameras (there's the ability to add up to a total of 8), would make me want to bump up the storage as well.
