Valentina is the newest card in Marvel Snap and in this video I try her out in what I think is going to be the best shell for her - the Loki archetype. The randomness does not work in her favor because of how many bad 6 drops you can get and the -2 power also feels awful. In my honest opinion, she is the worst card of the season and you can safely skip her (unless she gets buffed which is very possible). I played Valentina in a Loki deck and I feel like in order for her to be good you have to have 3 things come together: Quinjet and Luke Cage on board AND ideally a useful 6 energy card and it’s so rare when that happens! Save your spotlight keys and collector’s tokens for something more useful, unless there’s another card in the Spotlight caches you really really want. Blob is still okay but Red Hulk is honestly just better.

valentina is just like cannonball. cuttable in most cases but also insanely fun. quinjet and luke cage give so much value. you just need to proc her again if the first draw is dead. I got Leader, proc her again got Odin proc her again with Odin got She hulk. didn't even need other 6 cost card to win the game. The highroll is very high just like cannonball. I was a day 0 cannonball believer and Valentina is the same.

Got to play her 4 times. Once I got Dr. Doom. The other 3 were Apocalypse and Destroyer twice. LE: Another Destroyer.

Nick Fury w/ Quinjet = 3 6-drops you can play on turns 5 and 6, no power lost Valentina = 1 6-drop with 2-less power and that’s it. Why did I ever think this card would be better than Fury?

You do get the energy discount but most of the time it doesn’t feel worth it to me

Maybe because nick fury generate three 6 drops so you have more chance to got useful cards.

Already have Knull, really wanted Blob and got him 1st key luckily. Will save the rest for later now, 300 tokens away from buying Red Hulk potentially but i may sit on him for a little bit just in case something better comes along soon

The problem I have w/ Valentina is that you are basically sacrificing your turn 3 tempo play w/ playing down a 6 cost instead of building up your hand for Loki or Collector. Worst case scenario you don't get the Quinjet synergy, and you have the option to play a big 4 cost that is anti-synergistic with your deck, play Loki, or force yourself to save that card by the end of the game. It is incredibly mediocre if I continue to play her like this without looking through a guide.

she is another hercules for me, sitting on the sideline to use 6k tokens or 3k when they drop, unless she is buffed and someone cooks something good in the next few months it is a pass, i am still sitting on 18 keys and about 20k in tokens too so i could if i wanted but it would be a waste of resources. my two cents, i am CL15,000

Didn't like valentina much either. Almost always pulled a 6 drop that would hurt my gameplay.

That was my experience as well except in that one game with Kamar-Taj. If she gave 2 6 energy cards she would be great!

Valentinq offers very little value. Why play a 4/11 Giganto when you can just play cross bones, cull ,sentry etc. Also Doom as 4/2 is the same as Ms marvel. Such a useless card.

Or play Luke cage and now you have a 4/12 magneto or a 4/10 she hulk. Or a 4/20 and Infinaut. Suddenly it hands tremendous value.

@@kdnz So you're going to put Luke Cage in a loki deck for the off chance that the card Valentina draws is actually usefull and you also need Valentina in hand by turn 2 and you're not generating any cards for Loki. Not to mention you're probably getting Shang Chi on turn 5.
