Is this vertical mouse more ergonomic? (weird custom mouse)

A while back I was in search of an ergonomic mouse, since I couldn't find one that met my criteria, I decided to create my own DIY mouse.
The PCB I used was sourced from Keymouse (www.keymouse.com), unfortunately as of this video they are redesigning it, so the pieces I used are not longer for sale.

Thanks for the update! I had hoped to see one after your last video about the diy mouse. Seems like you are the only person on youtube who has done anything like this. At some point I want to make my own mouse when I get time... if that will ever be.

Something that has crossed my mind, granted my pain is more associated with mouse/tennis elbow - forearm pain, is that there exists a razer naga trinity with swappable side plates. If we were to take that apart and re-house it in a veritcal orientation you could use the hex attachment and simply use your thumb for the button presses/macros. All the while having a smaller footprint. At worse what you could do is detach the base and place something w/ ribbon cables that allows you to adjust the tilt of the mouse from 30 degrees to a full 90 degrees. Thoughts?

Yeah, I think I mentioned in the video. But after I'd done all that, it occurred to me, that it might've been easier or lighter, to just buy a mouse with tons of buttons and just 3d-print a new shell.

I am on this same journey but I'm left handed. Rn I'musing an ELECOM Left-Handed 2.4GHz Wireless Thumb-operated Trackball Mouse. I like it so far.

@@psychometry544 After reading your first comment I'd only seen the robot looking ones, but yeah this looks very similar to mine plus the scroll wheel and thumbstick. I like that you can adjust the positions. It looks very cool
