Have you used a wireless transmitter on a video shoot and what did you use it for? Personally, I love using them for client monitors.

Great review! Nobody had one when I went looking. I bought one last year and used it for a couple of events, as a roaming broadcast machine captured into VMix. Nothing high grade, but I found it very reliable. It's a bit finicky on frame rate and resolution matching (whereas I've used other transmitters before that are fine with 23.97 -> 24 fps), but overall pretty good. Also worth noting the USB-C power is a very specific range it accepts. Your Macbook charger won't power it, beware. It works great with barrel or NPF though. I found the app they have for viewing to be very flakey, but I'd imagine for most people this is a non issue. Overall for the price point it's amazing. There doesn't seem anything else in the price range and build quality.

Awesome comment, you've added a lot of great details to this review already haha! Yeah, I have found that most transmitters and external recorders in general are Very particular about frame rates and making sure everything matches up. Depending on the device some companies label things as 24fps in their menu, but it's actually 23.98. And for others it Actually is 24fps, so you can never really be sure. Glad you had a good experience with it overall though! 🤘

Thanks Chadwin Smith, the Tilta wireless bracket is exactly what I've been searching for. Hollyland makes one, but it's not compatible with the Mars 400s Pro. Great setup.

the latency gets worse for continued use. Had it for about a year and I believe its at the end of its life. BEWARE of this.

Great video! I own a Sony FX3 and I was wondering if I can combine the transmitter with my NINJA V monitor that I use to replace my small viewfinder? The FX3 only has one HDMI output and no SDI output. Any tips to make this possible?

You can go from camera HDMI out to Ninja V, then loop out to the Hollyland. However the Ninja V introduces a significant amount of latency, and in my opinion the wireless signal would be too delayed for pulling focus in this setup

Great video!! But kind of confused here. 1) Did you connect the transmitter to camera direct via Sdi, and HDMI from transmitter to the monitor If yes, do you think it’s possible to do the same connection setup on RED komodo? Thank you.

He just connected the transmitter with SDI to avoid latency. And since fx6 has HDMI out as well, he wired it directly to the monitor. So the camera has two outputs - no loopthrough in this rig
