Why couldn't Lara wield a gunblade from 'Final Fantasy VIII', or a buster sword from 'Final Fantasy VII', in a 'Tomb Raider' game? We could've had a non-woke Lara Croft. I just finished playing the 2013 game again after many years (the one where Lara moans a lot and is accompanied by a character of Big Bang Theory) and man, for all its faults (mainly Lara never embracing a more deterministic and purposeful desire to raid tombs) it shows we didn't really knew how good we had it.
