The last time I visited Universal Orlando was back in 2013 and it was the best. I went there for my graduation from high school trip, unforgettable memory. They listen to what the guests want and they perform that. Disney nowadays is such a disaster to be on your phone so much and all those cons. I have yet to try Hagrid's Motorbike Adventure. It's so great to see the whole Provost family in this video.

I love Disney. I can't wait to visit Disney World when I can afford it. However, Universal is already on the top of my list BECAUSE it's so much more affordable. They listen to their guests. And with EPIC UNIVERSE, the convenience is plain to see. So I am totally looking forward to that! So Best Family Theme Park? YES!

FYI: Universal is not more affordable! We were last out there in June of 2022. We stayed 8 nights at the Dolphin Resort which is considered a Deluxe Resort, at $420 per night total for a 1-bedroom suite, a 7-day park hopper ticket with Genie+ each day (the 3 of us). We then went went to Universal and stayed at the Royal Pacific Resort at $599 per night (2 nights) which was a pretty small room but did include the Unlimited Express pass, 2 days of their park hooper tickets. All told when we compared it all, day for day, Universal was about 10% more. Yes, had we stayed at a 1-bedroom suite at the Polynesian, Boardwalk, Animal Kingdom Lodge it would have been double the price of the Dolphin or Swan, but we also could have stayed at one of their moderate or value resorts for less. But comparing apples to apples, Uni was more!

Universal Xpress pass is far far far superior to Genie plus. Genie plus is a hassle having to constantly mess with your phone. Is so nice to not have to take out your phone all day while at Universal.❤📱

I agree with Miles! Disney is a must do once, but I will be going to Universal Studios for the rest of my life! Epic universe next year with expansions for years to come and Unverisal United Kingdom in 2030! Hope we get pokemon, zelda, and lord of the rings too in the near future. The Universal Express pass is a game changer. No app needed!! 🎉 thank you for doing a video outside of Disney. I really enjoyed it! ❤

I find with express pass you can complete both parks (universal & islands) in a day. w/o express pass a single park takes the majority of the day. IoA has more thrill rides, but studios is more accessible.

Love your videos. One other express pass is for platinum AP holders. One time per ride and after 4pm. It’s another great perk Universal has for APs.

I was at Islands of Adventure at it's soft opening in 1999. I loved it so much in my mind it is the best park. But I will always love Disney as well.

To answer the post question: At this moment, yes. That's not the case 10 years ago. But right now, the two parks offer so much, Volcano Bay is best water park in the nation, and many of the Universal hotels fit families of 5 perfectly. I feel with Disney cutting back on shows/parades/fireworks, raising pricing far beyond the already-crazy inflation rates of the last 10 years, and the stupid class-warfare incited by Genie+. The magic I used to feel at WDW I felt on my 2020 and 2021 trips to USO. I just wish Universal Hollywood could do more to be more like Orlando.

We chose Cabana Bay over Hard Rock because Hard Rock was $400+ more a night and a one-day Unlimited Express Pass was $165. There are only two of us, so it was a no-brainer. #Slytherin4Lyfe

Worked for a very large gas station! 🤔in the deli department. Always cut all the crasaints. But I believe Amanda is doing the best way.

I don't believe it currently is, I would still give it to Disney World, but I believe the second the third gate opens that Universal Orlando will be one of the best theme parks in the world up there with Disneyland, Tokyo

As far as the question in the title of the video it's sadly not "The Best Family Theme Park" because families have kids of all ages. Our kids are younger, and they are too short for MANY of the rides (including kids rides like Cat in the Hat). It's a bummer! So we've never been because we don't think it will be fun for them. Hopefully the new Dreamworks area + Epic Universe will start to turn this around. Disney World has so many more rides that do not have height requirements. I'm looking forward to going to Universal some day when they are a bit older! Great video though, PPP.

I tried the deluxe-hotel hack for one night in order to get my family Early Admission (and Express Unlimited), only to encounter Hagrid closed both mornings. Extremely disappointing.

The Aventura resort also has a special entrance to volcano Bay. Most people don’t realize it’s just like cabana Bay. There’s a pathway along the pool where you can also walk to Volcano Bay early as well. 😊

I cancelled an 8-day DisneyWorld vacation and took a refund on my x-country air, tickets and Polynesian bookng. I’m happy to spend my $ on VIP treatment at Universal Hollywood! The crowds, long lines and new DAS policy at Disney has made their parks impossible for two seniors who only can take the “magic” for about 6 hours a day. I’m looking forward to buying a VIP pass at Universal to avoid the physical stress of spending most of my day in a line. The cost is a reasonable trade-off compared to anything Disney has to offer.

FYI: Did you know that Universal implemented the same “DAS” policy (or whatever they call it) like a year ago but no one made a big stick about it? They are actually more strict than Disney is but folks just like to rag on Disney without bothering to really look at what everyone else does. But yes, you are right if you want to spend $100-$200 per day for the Universal Unlimited Express pass (The “VIP” is more!) rather than $35 on Genie+…. be my guest! And to be fair, I wish Disney did get rid of Genie+ and go to a much higher cost front-of-line pass and restrict how many could be sold each day. I’d be ok with that.

Yes. I am aware of Universals’ policy but will choose the VIP as I think it it is still a better fit and value for us over Genie+, After Hours Tickets, and park admission.

I love rollercoasters and rides. I once took my 3 year old and 1 year old on a Ferris wheel and almost had a panic attack!!! I feel you Chris!

I love Disney however, they do not listen to fans, they have out priced serval income levels, have not done anything exciting except copying other rides or updating slightly ones they already had(badly), plus with Genie plus it is way to complicated. I believe once EPIC Universe opens Disney is in real trouble

I went to Universal Studios last year. There were about 3 things I could do that didn’t make me sick. Mario Bros. and Simpson just aren’t my thing. Disneyland is so much better.

Great video as usual. 100%, Universal is the Premier Park in Florida for families and just wait till Epic Universe opens up!The leadership of Universal hasn’t pandered to the social justice mob as did Disney. They wouldn’t tear down a beloved ride like Splash Mountain just to satisfy the whims of a vocal minority. Universal leadership is there to make money for its shareholders and to provide reasonably priced entertainment for its customers. Their prices are not out of control for food, lodging, and park as is Disney. Can’t wait to book my trip to Florida next year and enjoy Epic Universe. I have no plans at all to go to any of the Disney parks. Too expensive, lots of deferred maintenance and closed rides. Disney has a long way to go to return to Walt Disney’s vision of quality family entertainment. It certainly isn’t that now.
