About the part where I said that you lose all your stuff when you die twice in a row, that's not actually true. But it was kinda true in my case, because I died in the water, and I'm pretty sure I came back to the exact same place and I didn't find my tombstone there, or my gear. Saw a ton of comments about this, damn. But yea, you don't lose your gear unless you're a dumbass like me. Oh and another thing. When I said that Bannerlord was polished on release, I explicitly said "for an early access title", not polished in general, chill guys lol. A polished game in general is something entirely different.

It has happened to me and has happened to my friends who play in my server, i've even planned events around the retrieval of our lost warrior's gear, and the tombstone was there everytime, there wasn't a single time, even at sea, where the tombstone wasn't there, the tombstone floats in the ocean, so you have to serach for the red light and your name, but i've always found it, its really strange that you didn't find it (The only explanation i see is that when you went there it was misty or there was a storm and the water level hid the tombstone)

There are more complaints to be had for this game, but they are mostly quality of life. Crafting from boxes, instead of grabbing 8 wood to make arrows, auto sort items to nearby boxes, auto stack etc

weird, when my friend died in water, his tombstone literally floated, had "floatjacket" and all.

@@GUNNER67akaKelt It'll leave a gravestone where you died, which also keeps floating on water (tested 2x in the ocean close to the plains). If you die twice in a row the gear from the first death will still be there. gravestones only go away if you grab all the stuff from the gravestones. Ofcourse there are bugs with that system.

When my boat got destroyed by a sea monster, I saw the loot that was on board floating in the water in a crate when I passed through the same route with another boat. Maybe thats how its presented in water instead of a gravestone? Easy to miss though since its not a big crate. Also when you die before you were able to retrieve your gear, you will lose the pinpoint location of your previous death. But the gravestone is still there to pick up. Just need to memoralize well enough where you died haha.

I am almost 60 hours in and i haven't even killed 3rd boss yet. I love this game. First game in years that i genuinely have fun in. No stress over competition, over noob teammates, over losing. I just come from work, plant my carrots, get my stews and potions and sail away to explore distant lands. Just chilling in my boat. Everyone can play at their own pace. No rushing, no timers, nothing. It's great.

yeah 1 gb but when you start to explore most of the map it starts to lag and the game starts to memory leak. that's really the only bad thing about this game. It really sucks when you're facing 3 wolves and you hit them and the game doesn't register until they magically pop up behind you and they did like 6 attacks already in that span of the lag.

The new location of death will replace the old death location so you need to know where you died on map. A good tip would be to mark your dropped loot on the map and delete it once you recovered it incase you die again.

Yeah, a lot of developers nowadays also don’t understand how vital single player is for the survivability of their game. A multiplayer game dies much faster than a single player one that individuals can have fun in alone.

I saw a post about Valheim on Twitter, and I can't stop playing now! It is one of the chillest survival games out there, with lovely music, a bit outdated graphics, but actualy quite fitting after a while. I was amazed when I found out about crafting - build foundation logs, otherwise you get problems with building colapsing without propper support structures. Having to build a "chimney" so smoke from your fireplace is not concentrating in building, damaging your character... I love it! Just slain first boss and progressed to second zone.

Nice review. Pretty spot of most things. Only thing is you dont loose items from previous death if you die again but not sure if dying multiple times clears old ones froma certain point or if after a certain amount of time it goes away. at least you can die twice in a row without loosing your first deaths items as you can have 2 or maybe more death totem things. I just started it the other day and I went and activated the first final boss while I was still at level one tech and had to defeat him him with an axe. He almost destroyed my house too. Then I out of the blue these giant greylings attacked my, no problem taking them down with my axe but then at my second house I was outside working at my next level upgrades and they snuck behind me while I was over loaded and back turned. But I learned how to break up "fine wood" early on. Then I created a new character and built a raft right away to try to do some exploring. Found giant eels off the shores of some place with what looked like dead trees and zombies. I didn't go there, I left and the eels followed quite a ways attacking my raft. I just now learned I break rocks, find minerals and advance technology. The art is amazing, using low res graphics yet with such good mechanics and rendering a stunning scenery, you soon don't notice the pixelization. Even the fish swimming around in the water is amazing, I would prefer it better if it was less creepy. Thats about all I can say.

Nice video! I just bought the game. Played about 2 hours, it's a fun 3d Terraria like game. With as many copies they've sold, I could see this team improving this game and expanding this game a ton over the next year or two like how that dev team did with Astroneer.

I first learned of this game back in 2018. It was called "Fejd" (pronounced 'fade') then. It was fairly polished then, so obviously they've been working on it awhile. They've added quite a bit to it since.

I think this game will stay big for a long time and is going to get huge. The structure of the game will allow the devs to continuously add new content like bosses/biomes/weapons/armour/enemy’s/builds which is very good for the future of the game.

I've played 30 hours already as a Single player and I'm really enjoying it. P.S. if you die multiple times you tomb stones does not disappear, so you can pick them one by one, but markers on the map show only place of the last death, so keep this in mind

I mostly play SP cause nobody wants to play with me :( however I like the idea of having a main world you work on and having others join you to help you with certain tasks. Like a summon in Dark Souls. However I’d love to have a MP server with 20-40 people of friends and their friends all building bases around the map on different islands. Creating shipping routes. Create like a role play fantasy economy server.

I hope in the future they add some village NPC (safe zone), where you can get a quest (gather, kill animal, trade etc), and put some lore to the game surround the 10th world. That wud be amazing! It's like lite version of The Witcher.

It's a game you can get completely lost in and lose all track of time. It's relaxing and chill at times but has challenges if you so desire them. It is both fun to play alone AND with friends. All this wrapped inside just a teeny tiny 1GB. Solid YES.

The only thing I have with Valheim is a lack of material weapon and armor variation. Especially armor types, like heavy or light variants of armors which can give better protection or slightly better mobility than the default type. I'd love to have a suit of heavy armor over me with a Voulge of some kind, or maybe a Falx.

Yes and very much in single player. In single player, it is very much the essence of survival mode. In Co-Op it’s very much survival team play and far less punishing survival. In single player it’s very much survival adventure and discovery having to do everything. Having to do everything solo is at the least denominator survival. The entire game was done by just 2 person team.
