What I love about Waymond in this is that the Daniels take standard male tropes and spin every one of them on their head. How often do we hear men described as. Incapable of doing housework Like having a second child They’re just a big kid Etc etc These phrases to describe Dads and husbands have been the norm for decades, like men are or no use unless they are hyper-masculine, but this film shows that you don’t need to be. You can be supportive of your other half, loving, caring, nurturing, understanding and these are all not only desirable traits, but masculine traits. This film takes the “My Silly Husband” lazy trope about masculinity in film writing and makes so that every time we see it again on film we will recognise it as the bad lazy writing it is by “that silly screenwriter”.

Often Meekness is taken as weakness, the alpha male stereotypes often showcase kindness doesn't pays. Being broken in meekness is hence weakness & kindness doesn't helps to turn the tide in dire situations. 🤔

He has become my favorite male character ever, with uncle iroh from avatar. I was so happy and emotional to see a good example of a sensible man I can relate to and people can admire even more than the traditional “hero” with strength and power. Oh and just as a suggestion: your voice is beautiful and calming, but the music is a little loud and can be a little distracting 🙏.
