Xmen Cota had it too, but it was not automatic. You had to spend meter to use it.

It will never stop boggling my mind how from Children Of The Atom to Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3, the ONE "Vs." game where Wolverine isn't a top tier character is the game that has two versions of him in it. It's not nearly as bad as COTA, where it can happen in *four* hits, but who seriously thought this game needed a stun mechanic?

i think one of the weird things for wolverine is how the down mk is being done. on some opponents would fall down others will just take a hit and you can continue a combo. i think it started in mvh vs sf

Justin Wong the LK, MP, dash (repeat) is not a true block string. You can simply jump after MP and whiff punish the dash LK coming back down.

Pretty sure you can dashing stand jab with Iron Man after a blocked Berserker Barrage. Stand short is a little...short. I can't remember not punishing it with anyone else. Where's the frame data when you need it?

This game will always be epic. Surprising lack of gem usage here though… And Berserker Barrage isn’t safe. Just use Iron Man’s standing fierce.

Wolverine is the best there is on the first 5 Marvel-based Capcom arcade games. But when MVC2 came out, he's now completely fragile(X-MenVSF version got that worse). On the side note, the angled dive kick originated in MSF and not X-MenVSF.

Marvel would only think about going back to making those games if they knew they could make a billion bucks out of it. Since fighting games aren't exactly on the same tier as, say, Pokemon games, we'll just have to keep that on the "no way" tier.

So, I'm confused, though. Is there some gentlemen's agreement or something? Why is noone using the gems? Not only for the buffs, but they'll hit the enemy if he's dashing in with medium punch like that. At least that's what I remember doing in the arcades back in the day, use the gem to counter your opponent's rushdowns.

I started watching Justin from his MVC2 days. So it's really awesome to see him come back to MSH after all these years of SFV and getting bodied by cheap AI opponents in janky fighting games and KOF. 😂 I'm also amazed at just how good MSH still looks today. In some ways I actually like the art direction more than the later crossover games.
