Is Your RV A/C LOUD? Easy, Fast, Cheap FIX!

Not every hack is fast… or cheap… or even works… but this one did. Just a little duct tape and 10 minutes, 6 screws equals a much, much quieter air conditioner for our Winnebago Ekko. And this should work on any A/C that has a dump vent to quickly cool your bedroom.

I tried what you did a couple years ago and was pleasantly surprised by the reduction. However, there is still a very loud hum when your compressor starts up. I am very sure, right? That's the way it is with mine. What I plan to do in the near future his place better isolators on the compressor so that noise is lessened.

if you open the overhead cabinet above your heads, the noise level drops alot at the mattress level significalty as well.. it deflects the air forward..

Great suggestion. I've noticed that too. Our door rattles when I do that though so I need to figure that out. Thanks for the suggestion.

It's a 24" Roku TV. Got the mount at Walmart too. SANUS Vuepoint Small Full-Motion TV Mount for TVs 13"-40" (Black) TV and mount for under $150

Would this hack have worked on the air conditioner on your old Travato?

I don't think so. I don't think it had the dump vents... just the vents on the sides and the directional vents.

Hi Lynn and Owen (and Maggie). We watch your channel frequently. I wanted to invite you to a Travato Meetup we are hosting at Lake Norman State Park on September 9 & 10. There are at least 8 sites reserved already, and we will be at Site 12. I know you no longer have a Travato, but you were instrumental in having us purchase one. We are hosting a cookout at our site beginning at 5:30pm on the 10th and would love for you to join us. Just let us know! I know you guys live fairly close.
