With his smarts & capabilities, I figure a truly evil Isaac would've been a tad more dangerous than this old fart... That being said, I'm fairly glad with how his story arc turned out in the end. Isaac's the GOAT.

Yeah, I've seen some criticism of the wizard of 'being out of nowhere' and being 'underdeveloped'. That kind of misses the point. Yes, the wizard doesn't really have a character in and of himself... he has no dialogue and is just one-dimensionally evil. But, the purpose here is to serve as a foil for Isaac without being too on the nose about it, and represent basically the culmination of the bad side of humanity that Isaac has been ranting about over the course of the whole series. We don't need more introduction or discussion on this evil wizard, because Isaac has essentially been talking about him when he talks about "humans" ever since season 2. Killing him in a moment of catharsis is what finally gives Isaac the opportunity to let go of his rage against mankind.

This was his season honestly. Alucards arc was boring honestly. Trevor and syphas was filler, and hectors was just him having a bad time. Isaac is the only character who made progress this season honestly.

He is lost. For moments he experiences human kindness, but then he gets reminded on how pitiful most humans are. Full of hatred and fear.

Hector basically becomes an honorary Belmont and fights Isaac because he wants to resurrect Dracula. Forgot what game that was.

Rosaly wasn't even mentioned in Castlevania tv series, so Lenore is probably her replacement and that means Isaac will kill her. That will happen in S4, we will get more Lenore and Hector bonding just to see her dying from Isaac hands and in S5 we will get full Curse of Darkness plotline

@@mattkennedy6115 If producers are going to follow the story as they are doing for now, they will have to give Hector some motivation to go after Isaac. In Curse of Darkness Isaac falls to Dracula's Curse, go mad and kills Hectors wife, Rosaly, that's the moment he regains Devil Forging powers, team ups with Isaac sister and fights with Isaac, he beats him but not kills him thus he breaks Dracula's Curse he was under. Death appears explain it was his plan all along, to make Hector kill Isaac and become new vessel for Vampire King, but cuz Hector didn't, he takes Isaac unconscious body for Dracula to be reborn. Hector kills both Death and revived Dracula. That's the "Curse of Dracula" plotline. We will see if Netflix will go along with it.

@@CampaignerSC I would call it a mercy kill though, because after hearing that you were enslaved among hundreds of thousands people including your friends and family and then knowing you were the only handful that survived, that would be super traumatic. Also if some people survived, then they’d have serious injuries from being thrown and dropped from great heights. Issac wouldn’t have the capacity or resources to treat those injuries.

She and Hector will have probably more bonding stuff in s4 and then she will probably die from Isaac hands and thus give Hector hell of a motivation to put Isaac down.

Isaac though is someone who is fixated on the negative aspects of humanity... All he sees are more reasons for them to be wiped out. Granted he plays out his own prophecies in just about every single instance by having a demon army at his beck and call every where he goes... People know exactly what they are so he can't go anywhere without drawing attention but still... If he wondered about without said horde, his entire outlook could very well shift and he'd see much more kindness from strangers... In a lot of ways both Hector and Issac are very nieve to the world and only see their specific view as valid... Yet ironically, they constantly seem to isolate themselves and spend a large chunk of their time hanging out with the wrong kinds of people.

Isaac is not the enemy or evil. He's faithful to his ideals. He listens to others during his mission so as to learn how to fulfill it. And he does not kill unless they force his hand. The part where he wants to eliminate human kind is not even evil either. Considering all the animals, vegetation and life in general that would be freed from being subjected to all the evils imaginable from humans. Humans are like a bacteria that feeds on the life of others. The vast majority are this way. Since the wast majority see nothing wrong from sending animal to slaughterhouses or electrocuting animal 'pests' by introducing an iron rod in their anus (this is how they kill dogs in 3rd world countries. If you're brave enough, you can search videos here on youtube of that). Thing is, Isaac is not the enemy or evil. He understands why humanity must perish in order for life on Earth to survive.

Yeah. The only UPSIDE to what Sypha and Trevor went through is that Dracula isn't back (but as we could see he didn't really even want to come back so it was never an issue). Hector clearly got worse, and Alucard's only victory is he didn't die (which honestly isn't much of a victory for him anyway given he's still alone and getting worse). Hell, the only way Isaac got a defeat is that his plan with the Visitor didn't work to bring his friend back to (un)life, and I'm not sure he even knows that yet.

It was a Mistake to side with Carmella, but Dracula made that an easy move. The only thing Hector really had going against him was his Naivete to the pain Dracula was feeling.

I remember learning that when it comes to character writing, motivation often matters more than relatability. Isaac has clear motivations that he goes to great lengths to fulfill over the course of season 3, while Sypha and Trevor are kind of stuck in a plot col-de-sac until the finale.

Trevor and Sypha are not even the main characters of this show. Thats the beauty of it. I had strong witcher vibes from their village quest with portal to hell.

And as for him being evil - he *was* evil when he started his journey. His whole arc was about him not being just evil anymore, and finding out that there is more to life and humanity.
