well yeah, but then you buy one new partial pack with new samples like the orchestra pack, import it and half of them arre gone ;) then add a second pack and nearly all are gone ... even though most of those sounds are not useable, you cannot really listen to them without importing them

@@DonGeatschos fair point. I don't usually buy sound packs for my synths so I haven't come up against that. I was comparing the AE with synths like the Yamaha DX7 or MicroKORG - I always find the patch I want to use is on the computer, not the instrument.

Those details can only be edited via the app but Roland always do an app update when they update the Aerophone

Hi. It’s easy to overlook that the musical performance is down to the player not the instrument. Most electronic wind instruments are capable of producing expressive nuances in the right hands. Sometimes it takes research and patience to get the best out of an instrument and of course some instruments will suit some players more than others. If you feel comfortable on an instrument you will most likely play more naturally and expressively. The EWI and the Aerophone are quite different instruments. No one can answer your question because it’s down to how you suit an instrument and your own abilities to play expressively.

Hi. The first thing I’d say is it’s not a saxophone! The key difference is that Yamaha have gone down the route of making the key work look and feel a bit like a saxophone. However they have very limited sounds and no bite sensor. That for me means very little musical expression. It’s aimed at being super simple but super limited. The Aerophone has keys in the same layout as a sax but is an instrument in its own right. The Roland has a huge library of sounds and great bite and breath controls. It also has other performance controls, a great app and is expanding its functionality and sound library all the time. For me they are completely different instruments for completely different players. If you just want something with keys like a sax and is very simple to use go Yamaha. If you want an instrument which you’ll never get tired of exploring and you aim to play with musical expression then you should try the Roland.

To explore all the functions of Aerophone AE30 is really difficult....in terms of language and without an instructor, so I only use the basic functions... that's a pity.. .!!! Roland has made a great product...but perhaps a thoughtful guide to making those great functions available to all countries without the same language...then surely Roland's Aerophone will More popular and more widely used !!! 🎉

Strangely I don’t think there is directly on the Aerophone. You can delete a scene on the app.

Having the same question I tried to find out how to delete individual user scenes in the Aerophone Pro Editor (iPad, connected via Bluetooth). I see the list of user scenes, but I don’t see a delete option?

Of course it’s possible. I’m just trying to start with the basics for those that struggle with the app. In fact I tend to use this method quite often if I just want to make a quick edit or copy a sound to a new place, say for a gig sequence.
