New Battle Report is live! Thanks to Johnny for hosting and for being a great opponent as always. Apologies folks, the sound is a little rough between 4:10 - 6:30~. It improved after. I’ll be looking at some mic options here shortly. Appreciate your patience : )

Good stuff guys! I feel like it was a misplay to charge the elves in on the right flank before the Isengard priority move, but Isengard completely failed to punish the mistake - they should have wrapped and obliterated that flank, they had absolutely free reign to choose advantageous engagements, so it could have been a massacre of traps and maybe a heroic combat from the oath maker! Looks like they pulled it out on the end though :)

Nice batrep and great channel :) Two things I noticed: you can only feint if you’re using a sword, so spear supports can’t. And you have to call heroic actions at the start of a phase. Channeling and defence need to be called at the start of the move and fight phase respectively, not during them.

Thanks for the tips! I’m definitely still trying to learn the game. With the feints I was intending to feint when I had a sword in front with spear support behind. For the channeling and combats at the start of the phase I believe it’s a matter of it being spoken aloud between clips and seeming like it wasn’t when edited together. Hopefully my play and knowledge improve over time as I get more games in : )

You can also only call one heroic per character per phase, so Galadriel can't call a move and a channel in the same movement phase. On the other hand there is nothing saying that you can't have two channeled spells.

I always come back to Lothlorien. Having high fight army-wide is such a quality of life thing in this game.

@@thedicelab Recomend some F6 boys. Haldir actually has 4 attacks because he always gets 2 pikes in my list xD. PS you can channel both spells :)

@30 galadriel calls heroic channel, but during the move phase (not the beginning, she also called a heroic move) So u can't call two heroic actions with same hero in the same phase And all heroic actions must be called at the beginning of the phase Also your opponent said blinding light was gone because she called a heroic action This isn't true, she channeled blinding light during an earlier turn, the channeled version changes the spell from "temporary" to "exhaustion", which means that until galadriel runs out of will, the spell will be active He also asked if you can channel 2 spells in the same turn There are only a few models that can cast 2 spells in the same turn, I'm actually not sure if you can channel both, but that would be really cool

Thanks for the clarification. I’ve been told since this game that you can in fact channel 2 spells at once. Ie. Blinding light and another. The two heroic actions was absolutely my bad and I’m still trying to learn the rules. I think I learn more each game. Thanks for watching : )
