Let Jack discover it himself, dont disclose nor preempt any information whether he watched it already or state facts that would contribute to One Piece plot or not. Just gonna point this out. Regardless of their origins, Luffy and Ace never pretended to be brothers. They have always been true brothers.

That's it. They're not blood related and it was never stated that they were. But, their bond as brothers are as strong or even stronger than biological brothers.

So..Oda actually made the decision to make Ace Roger's son literally, like, way too close to the actual reveal. He just asked his editor, "What would you think if I made Ace Roger's son instead?" the editor thought it was genius, and Oda went with it. Technically Ace was Luffy's biological brother for almost his entire existence in the series, probably up to the end of Impel Down.

I like how literally everyone always assumes that Ace and Luffy are blood-related brothers and no one ever even considers the possibility of them being sworn or adoptive brothers 😂

Bcs they look not exactly, but alike, and when it comes to the words "he's my brother" nobody thinks at first about sworn or adoptive brothers, but about blood related, this is why nobody ever considered it or asked Luffy about it, before he had a dialogue with Ivankov.

He'd known his whole life the weight of his true identity and tried so hard to escape it, but he knows it's huge. As much as him using his mother's name was a tribute to her, it was also protection for his own life not to use Roger's name. Don't forget that in Impel Down, he asked Garp to kill him, to stop Whitebeard from coming to get him. But also don't misunderstand that this was all Ace's fault. Ace could have done the same thing and it wouldn't have been any big deal if not for who he is, who his father is. If the world govt and the navy were not an oppressive, genocidal, murderous regime, this would not be happening.

They aren't pretending, they ARE brothers. Not related by blood, but doesn't need to be for them to be brothers, being adopted is a thing for a reason afterall. So even without blood related, they are still close like a brother. Lol XD

Fun fact: I watched One Piece with a friend of mine a few years ago (I was already caught up, she was starting at the beginning). At Alabasta, when she first met Ace. She thought he was Roger's son "because they look alike!"...I had to gaslight her for like 200 eps and she was mad at me when she finally got to this episode and she was right 🤣

I feel like Jack is so confused in this episode if Gold Roger is dead how can he be Luffy's father 😅. Ace father is Gold roger and Luffy's grandfather is Garp and his father is Dragon. Garp adopts Ace and raises them together and they swore as brothers they know they are not blood related but they know they are meant to be brothers ❤

i know this vid is 10 months old so probably already know this but Shiki is the main villain of the 10'th one piece movie "Strong World", he was a big time pirate during Rogers time and was a rival to Roger, he was imprisoned in impel down and was the first ever person to escape.

If you really think about it, the Marines don't actually WANT to go to war with Whitebeard. Blackbeard forced their hand by handing in the one Whitebeard Pirate that happened to be the son of the Pirate King. Ending Roger's bloodline is about the only thing that would justify pissing off Whitebeard and risking total annihilation in the process.

We had already met Sakazuki / Akainu back in Ohara... we knew he was the one who sunk the evacuation ship which is why Aokiji decided to let Robin go... They did mention him by name and we have already heard that is the name of the third admiral too... as far as i remember at least...

Just a reminder, the gates of Justice are backdoor entrances into those 3 areas. You can still enter Impel Down, Enies Lobby, and Marineford from the front without the gates mattering. The gates opening only matter for the shortcut that Luffy and them are taking.
