Here’s a fun fact Oda (creator of one piece) said that zoro actually died from the nothing happened moment but his soul got lost on the way to the afterlife and ended up back in his own body

Zoro taking Luffy's pain is even more insane when you consider the fact that Luffy's body is essentially rubber and can absorb more damage than a normal human body could. Combine that with the effort he put in just to activate Gear 2nd, a technique that increases his heartrate to such a degree that the speed of his blood flow is causing steam to rise out of his body, and it basically death incarnate rolled into a ball (literally by Kuma himself). Zoro is just built different and that makes what he did one of the best moments in the entire series up to this point.

NOTHING HAPPENED... such a badass moment of nothing happening for Zoro in the entire series.

The Kuma scene gives so much context to Zoros and Sanjis character. It’s so amazingly written. Zoro would never accept for another friend and their dream dying so he was absolutely determined to do everything to save the live and the dream of his best friend this time. But he was also determined to fulfill his own dream so he was able to push through and survive. Zoros reason was determination. Sanji on the other hand views himself and his dream less valuable than his friends because of his past (which will be explained) so he was willing to sacrifice his life to save them all. Sanji would’ve died, because he accepted death if it means that his friends and their dreams live. I think Oda is sometime a little to subtle with his character writing, because this is actually one of the strongest aspects in One Piece. But only if you dig a little deeper you see the full extent

The moment that solidify Zoro as the vice-captain of the Straw Hat Pirates...To give up his dream for Luffy's sake is pure loyalty and it saved the crew...Honorable mention to Sanji who would have gladly sacrificed himself too ! THE most badass Zoro moment !!

Just for clarification, it seems like you thought Kuma was a robot and 'programmed' by Vegapunk but he did say to Zoro that a cyborg is an 'accurate assessment' but he is 'nothing like cyborg Franky' meaning he is just better in every way.

The "Nothing Happened" is probably one of the most epic moments of One Piece! Finally it came!

I always love these episodes not just because the "nothing happened" scene is one of the most badass moments in the series, but because it absolutely shows how much respect Zoro and Sanji have for one another. They're always at each other's throats and talk shit to each other constantly. But when push comes to shove they're still crewmates and are absolutely willing to lay down their lives and won't let anyone (not even each other) get hurt.

I don't know if it's been mentioned in previous episodes, but Bink's Sake is a song created by Oda himself fairly early on in One Piece's lifetime. Somewhere around the beginning of the Grand Line, Oda had the idea for Bink's Sake, and actually hired a professional composer, Kohei Tanaka, to help him create it. I think it's a true example of Oda's Creativity and Tanaka's Skill that the song works for almost any occasion, sad or happy, and Brook's Voice Actor - in both languages even - manages to give the song that added life that has made it so iconic.

This is the same song as when he met them, but joyful. Bink's Sake was intended to be sung by a crowd, or, specifically, a ships crew. It was never meant as a solo song; Brook was singing it in mournful memory before, but now, he can play it and sing along with everyone.

Sanji: “Before long… I’ll be the most dangerous member of this crew.” Those who know now: O_O

I remembered this episode really hit me hard the first time I watched it. Because when Luffy first recruited Zoro, Zoro had warned Luffy not to get in his way of achieving his dream. But here he was ready to sacrifice said dream just to save his captain 😭😭😭

So many people dislike Thriller Bark because of Sanji/Absalom, that they fail to see the good of it. Such an amazing Arc.

One of the biggest moments of the series, always goosebumps. Still, I wanna point the view on Sanji tho for a second. Even tho it firstly seems to also be courage (as even Brook mentions), between the lines it really shows Sanjis sacrificial nature. "this is my glorious way out", "nah i merely made a fool of me" together with jump-infront-actions like in Skypeia (facetanking Enel) or Enies Lobby (wanting to take on a whole train of cp agents alone). All these things just show how little Sanji values his own life or how much more he values everyone elses. Sure it often helps but its still pretty sad and adds alot of character. For example, its probably the main reason for the constant fighting with Zoro; he wants to go first, he wants the big guys, he wants to be the one in danger so the others are safe. This trait probably comes from Zeffs sacrifice to him when he was nothing but a random boy and the beliefs that the other crewmates dreams are more important (as he even said to zoro when walkin up to Kuma). Two things i like to mentioned out which are not said after all these decades: 1. You can tell Kuma is a cyborg when he did that sumo stance. 2. The reason why Kuma took Zoro offer was the fact that Zoro genuinely hurt/damaged him.

Brooks backstory are some of the best flashback episodes. The fact that Bink’s sake is “the song that connects the past and present” is sure to have some significance again one day in the one piece world there’s already lines in it that harken back to things the strawhats have done or been through

That Marimo Baka man is definitely my Vice Captain!!! And it being the first time Bink's Brew plays fully in the series just reminded me how emotive and meaningful will be this song will be from now on

Zoro is Forever a Legend for this Epic Feat. His Best Moment in the Series to this Point. This Episode is So Memorable in Multiple Ways. Both Zoro and Sanji are the only ones to Take that Attack from Kuma. Both showed Guts. Zoro willing to sacrifice himself for Luffy’s Dream and Sanji willing to Sacrifice himself for Zoro’s Dream. But this is Zoro’s Moment and nobody can take it from him. Zoro did what a Vice Captain is supposed to do. Lead when the Captain isn’t able to. Btw for the Zoro Fanboys Sanji shouldn’t be downplayed for getting knocked out when he’s actual in the Worst condition out of the Rest of the StrawHats. This episode really shows why Zoro is second in command. He basically tells Sanji to “take a seat” and takes all of Luffys pain on his own shoulders. He’s the 🐐

love how the "tyrant" decided to spare the crew he was ordered to eliminate becuase their loyalty impressed him, even though hes still an enemy in this scene you can tell hes not all bad. they really did him dirty giving him that title

I really have to say, Bink's Sake is meant to be played and song in that joyful tune. Its a happy joyous Pirate melody that appears to be famous in the world of one piece amoung pirates. The verson of the song he has sung before is sad due to context but it is a song made for joy. Which is why the one piece community accepted it so much as a stable of One Piece fandom culture. Brook sings the song how its meant to be sung here, which is a perfect conclusion for his arc here.
