This battle gave the #Ottoman #Caliphate a name in the #Balkans and opened new lands to be liberated. They won with 800 men versus a strong army of about 50,000 men. May Allah be pleased with their victory! I hope you enjoyed this video and don't forget to like share and hit that subscribe button.

Im From the mrnjavčević Family From the 3 Brother which always gets forgotten about , they died hiso offspring nenad flet and found a Montenegrin mountain clan it’s so impressive we still lost against the turks even tho we were more GG we still sing oral poems about this battle on a instrument . Many of the mrnjavcevic predecessors Converted to Islam and some to catholism , rest stayed orthodox

Nobles never escaped into the mountains my friend but Italy(Venetia) or Austria like Crnojević,Karadjordjević,Obrenović and many others did. U know very well Kuçi used to be albanian that's why Danilo had to raid your ass in 1854 and 1855 alongside Bjelopavljici in 1856!

And if I am not wrong only after Mahmud a friend of Christian malsors died Kuçi and Palabardhi(bjelopavljici) left the 9 great tribes(aka highlands/mountains) which decreased it into 7 we know today(Hoti,Gruda,Kelmeni,Trieshi,Koja e Kuçit,Kastrati and Shkreli)!

It was not a full scale battle, lala şhahin paşa led his light cavalry (akinçi horse archers) into raiding the serbian camp. The drunken serbs were in utter shock as they thought it was the whole ottoman army . The serbs routed in fear. the serbian king and his brother and most of the nobility drowned in the maritsa river and roughly 25000 serbs were dead in this encounter. Which led in sultan murad carving up the serbian lands

Every video I learn something new, for example "vassal" meaning a country in a subordinate position to another. Thank you for enlightening us with these amazing videos.
@KatariaGujjar
@KatariaGujjar 3 жыл бұрын
Vassal isn't a subordinate country. Vassal is a person (ruler of a land) subordinate to a higher person (a ruler but not necessarily a holder of land). For example, Saladin was Sultan of Ayyubi Sultanate and his brother al-Afdal, Emir of Damascus province, was a vassal of Saladin. Similarly, Louis the Pious was King of Franks, in 813AD. While Leibulf, Count of Provence, was a vassal of Louis. A large empire (ruled by an emperor/badshah) can have multiple vassal kings/sultans who rule kingdoms/sultanates. Kings/sultans can have multiple vassal dukes/emirs who rule duchies/emirates. Dukes/emirs can have multiple vassal mayors/sheikhs, fort/castle/mosque/church rulers.

While this was a great victory and the number sited can be found in numerous locations, the number of 50-70,000 for the Serbians is simply physically impossible. Most likely it was 5-7K, at absolute maximum 20K though that would still be unlikely. The Turks were probably only 800 though and the victory against 7K was still a true wonder. The whole of a unified Serbian Empire was unable to field an army that large, so how was two rulers who controlled only a third of the state (and a mostly foreign greek territory at that) somehow able to field an army twice as large as the entire empire ever managed defies belief. The idea of a night attack by a small force is also impractical if the force was 50K+, the sheer size of such a camp would just be too large. Not to mention the idea that 800 would drive tens of thousands through force into the river equally impossible. Most of the army would have been unable to even see or hear an enemy due to being so far away (thats just how large 50K+ is). Given the lack of allies or aid the brothers recieved it is most likely the attacking force was 5-7K , anything more than that could only have been brand new untrained greek levies in which case an upper limit of 20k would be possible. The Turkish raid was most likely 800ish and very impressive, but this is far more realistic.

Dont worry theyre pissed off even to this day that we killed Sultan in 1389 on Kosovo with 800 Armoured Cavalry (12 survived) to get to Sultan and pretend that they came to surrender and to kiss Sultan feet because Ottomans had 10 times bigger army on Kosovo battle, Sultan ego was crucial in this cus he accepted that and got knife thru his stomach … that whrre he got 800 lol
@TheWhiskyDelta
@TheWhiskyDelta Жыл бұрын
@@jetserb Now that was a weird battle. Both sides were devastated, Turks took the field, but both rulers also died, with the Sultan dying in obscure circumstances (there are several varying accounts as to how and when he died). Despite the Sultans death the battle ultimately doomed the Serbian state into subservience due to too many losses, where they would prove critical to the Turks success only a few years later at Nicopolis.

Not because of a loss of Christian Army, these are facts and if u think u come to conclusion but donr wanna talk about that in the same year friendly Christians start attackiing weakened Serbia , Ottomans came first time to Danube shores whole 80 years after Kosovo battle, If they wrere victors and we were loosers why they took so long … ???

@@jetserb Yes, they may have killed the Sultan, however, they did it like they always have: with dishonour. They were willing to bow down and kiss the Sultan's feet and cowardly murdered him. For Muslims, death is a gift, not an unfortuanate demise. The martyr is not dead, instead, he is alive!
