Before i forget to leave this comment like i did last week: Ross has inspired me to go above and beyond. I'm writing down notes my now dead character would have written in the margins of an erotic novella reflecting on the text, scheming to snare a man to bend entirely to her will, and raving about her friend and fellow initiate (and romantic obsession) who had a similar birth but better upbringing so i can share it with my fellow players. They're also interested in having their characters join the secret society she (along with all my characters) belongs to so i'm writing a brief history for them too

"I'll need a second a Leather Jacket" -- I'm delighted that Rob's discovered the joy of Leather Jackets in Call of Cthulhu (seriously... 1 Hit Point less damage per a hit adds up, and if that buys you even one more round to act it could be the difference between life and death). Carter's a wonderful antihero: he's so clearly acclimated himself to a self-serving existence in an uncaring, often hostile Universe. It makes sense. It's just business. And yet when confronted by horror, he doesn't cut and run. "I can smack you for half a hit point." -- And I'm absolutely giddy that Noura's holding firm to her policy of aggressive problem solving! Her character's journey has been kick-ass. Fairuz is a kind of character I love to see in this game: too smart to be fearless in the world she inhabits, and too bold to be timid in the face of it. The result is someone extremely resourceful. More than once she's turned the tides with a creative idea (and a plan to make good on it). Honorable Mention -- "OK, let's open that fucker up. It's like if we had a box with no bottom. That's your mind"

I'm just wrapping up London, my players were paranoid cultist seeking AMRAAMs and raided Misr (Muzzer! so good to know ty Noura) House and ran gavigan over with a police car (long story). Now they just have to deal with Shafik, who has been brutally dogging them with one of her (unencountered) toys. I rate myself as a keeper, but i still feel like troy is taking me to school with his cuts and and intro scenes, that national anthem one was incredible.

Ross, I can tell you that I, as the world's greatest role player and game keeper, just like the rest of them, would not be doing any better in the investigative aspect. Maybe try a character with multiple personalities, one with astral projection, so you can investigate even more angles simultaneously and even further split the party. ; ) (Kate was pure GOLD this ep!)

Speculation, spoilers maybe: I'm only halfway through the ep but I feel like I've read enough Lovecraft to assume that Price IS Gavigan, and did some mind transfer. That's why Gavigan is living in Price's house and has the same obsession. There are no coincidences in Cthulhu-ville!

It's a thought thing for a keeper when your PCs love long enough for your players to become attached. But, real talk, it's not because they roll fire consistently. It's because the players get a luck refresh for every hour and a half of play.

Eh? 2-3 hour sessions are fairly normal. (Even if I myself generally do 4-5). They aren’t spamming luck constantly. Frankly they do roll 1’s constantly. And the odds of the luck refresg adjust based on how much luck they have, further mitigating the issue

Yup. And band member Jonny Greenwood is married to a fanatical zionist. Which is partly why the band has been pretty terrible regarding playing in Israel despite many artists boycotting. So they suck musically and ethically.
