Isle of Man TT Diary part 4: 2nd in the Senior feels like I won the race!

The 2024 Isle of Man tt is over and what a rollercoaster it’s been!
We faced quite a few hurdles! From weather to being hit by a bird in the face and not being able to see. A broken chain on the first lap of the Superbike race and several pit stop problems..: so to come away with a senior podium, a 134mph lap and a sulby speed trap record of 206.9mph, feels incredible.

Such a popular runner up result that, everyone by the side of the road was cheering you on, no doubt you saw all the programmes waving on that last lap. Keep coming back Josh, there's more to come. Confidence is a big part as you know, maybe with this under your belt you could take that final step.

Over the wet patches at Glen Helen you looked a lot smoother than most of the others i thought, it could be an optical illusion but i reckon you gained a bit of time on most of the others where the water was bleeding out the road just there. Everyone else looked to be really backing off for it but you seemed to glide through it without taking any unnecessary risks. I thought anyway.

Awesome job, what a way to end the TT. Such a popular 2nd place, always had the ability just needed the time. Hoping to see you back in 2025 again with the same team, now carry those podiums on into the BSB season 👏👏

Really chuffed for you and your crew. Such a well deserved result. Total respect for the way you have approached the TT. You have nothing left to prove but have returned out of real love for the event and gone about acheiving results in an intelligent, skillful and yet ballsy way. Also, it is obvious from the respect and congratulations from everyone there that it is a popular outcome. Looking forward to what happens next.

I've really enjoyed your content, TT and prior. Plus the TT podcast 2 parter. In the pitstop (Senior), the rear wheel bloke, doesn't the chain get red hot? Asbestos fingers. Cheers Joel
