I saw the Isley Brothers several times during the seventies, this video along with my "Midnight Sky" video is designed to give a general impression of their live performances, I miss this s**t, RIP black music.

This is a true example of why The Isley Brothers are pillars of both soul and funk.

Ernie's one of the greatest guitarists in the world, in my opinion and I'm sure in many others

Ronnie, Ernie and Chris must bury their differences, get together now and thrill the www with a brand new studio album...before IT'S TOO LATE. They can name the album The Isley Brothers: 3+3-3

Ernie Isley used to share his room with Jim Hendrix when Jimi would stay at the Isley home when he was playing for them on tour. Yeah...let that role through your head for while!

I love the original Isley Brothers, may they rest in peace. What is left of the band, I pray for their retirement.

My wife and I saw the Isley Brothers along with Kem and Frankie Beverly & Maze this past August in Houston, TX. I've always enjoyed hearing Summer Breeze and Ernie's guitar work on that track and many others, but I was blown away by his live performance. We watched Ernie Isley paly the "sweet days of summer the jasmine is in bloom" portion with his teeth as the guitar was over his head. You can definitely hear and see the influence Jimmy Hendrix had on him and his music. Hands down Ernie Isley, and Sheldon Reynolds (formerly of Earth, Wind, and Fire) are the best black guitarist of their generations. Check out Sinbad's Summer Jam 4 on youtube to experience Sheldon Reynolds. He has a monster guitar solo on Way of The World

Now, this is the jam. Real Music, not the crap in today's so-called R&B music. The Isley Bros. are still performing after 40 years. Do you think someone like, Chris Brown or Beyonce will be selling out concerts in 40 years-I think NOT!

A great, live rendition. It is smooth, true but not over the top ( which I also like ). Ronnie keeps it clear and down home. Ernie lays it out with a bit of a “who’s that lady ?” mid-70s feel on it.
