If/then depends largely on which “Roly Poly” you have. Porcellio? Armedillidium? Cubaris? There are literally hundreds of different kinds. Even Aquatic ones. I keep Isopods and offer them a Moisture gradient. And different types prefer vastly different Gradients. Being a Crustacean they breathe through Gills meaning they ALL need a moist area, but needn’t necessarily remain in it. Cheers.
