MOSES is one of the prophets mentioned in the holy books of the three religions: Islam, Christianity and Judaism. He played a definitive role in restoring freedom to the Israelites who were oppressed by a pharaoh called fir'awn (you saw his body at the Egypt museum). The pharaoh persecuted all male babies who were born from the Israelites, one of them was Moses. However, his mom got a message from God to cast him into the river and the baby ended up floating in the river where the pharaoh's wife was taking a bath. She wanted to adopt the baby and he grew up in the palace without anyone knowing that he was an Israelite. He received a holy book called 'Torah' and he had two missions: 1. To deliver the Israelites from Pharoah’s cruelty 2. To advise the Egyptians to forsake their godless ways by embracing the worship of the One God. (because the pharoah portrayed him as God). He led the israelites to the Red Sea where he was commanded by God to split the ocean by the will of God. They passed the ocean and when the pharoah's aramy followed, God made them drown, thus ending the life of the oppressors. The israelites, however, made it to Palestine. In Islam, it is believed that these israelites were Muslims and Moses was also a Muslim who preached them about Islam.

Jordan is a relatively small country with nearly 3 million Palestinians or people of Palestinian descent currently living in Jordan. Plainly speaking One in five people living in Jordan is Palestinian. The fact is the Jordanian Government doesn't want any more people from Palestine coming into Jordan(as they fear it will lead to instability) and also they want to maintain an amicable relationship with Israel. Also, they don't want to antagonize America which provides Jordan with Military and Financial Aid as and when required by openly taking the side of Palestine.
