100% correct. The sparing rules are easy to understand: If you want to go hard, pick a partner who wants the same. If the other guy goes hard without telling me, than i just ask: oh so you want to spar hard? We can do that. If he replys with yes than we Go hard. Or i‘ll tell him chill if i dont want to. And if your hurting someone new or less experienced because of an ego problem, than the Coach wipes the floor with you 😅

Quite literally. While Sean's performance over Izzy was great, I doubt he'll ever come close to his accomplishments. Israel at his peek was unstoppable and dominated the division for multiple years. People will try to discredit him because they don't like him on the mic, or some other unrelated nonsense that doesn't correlate with fighting.

I completely agree. I understand that Sean's comfortability fighting live opponents comes from doing it all the time in the gym, but if that's the way he does it, he can't make exceptions for tougher fighters. That just makes him a bully.

And look how technical izzy is compared to Strickland. Stricklands sparring works great, but only for him. Seans advantages are his cardio, defense, and pressure, and sparring helps improve those three things. I think that strickland will have a hard time defending the belt, except against counter strikers like izzy.

Sean is the first one to call out gym hero’s. I think this sparing partner going down was pretty weak. Sean was clearly putting combos together and the shin caught the chin. Simple as that, the partner wasn’t up for the task. Show us more gym hero behaviour from Sean… im fairly certain this was a 1 off.

They’re both pieces of work in their own way. I respect Sean for wanting to train hard and I can’t take that away from him, it certainly worked against Izzy. But he will soon find someone(like Alex) who is going to light him up and he will have to back out of the fight or fight with a cracked shell. There are plenty of good fighters who train just as hard as Sean and he may bark up the wrong tree. It’s his choice though and he still has my utmost respect for taking training as serious as his scheduled fights. HMU to duel Mr. Sean. I’m 6’5”, 192lbs and I would be honored to share the mats/cage with you.

Young Mike Tyson was a GYM HERO. He mentioned in an interview that during his teenage years, Cus would bring grown men to spar with him and they would stay at Cus house.
