Jack thank you! I am an American Jew and although not an expert by any means consider myself a student of the history of the region. I must say this is the single best interview I’ve seen on this topic and the first 25 minutes are the best concise background/history for the layman I’ve seen. What an incredible interview. Like he eluded to- I do think it’s only a matter of time before this extremism spills over beyond Israel and into America. Again thank you for this outstanding interview.

@@rantanplan178 This is exactly what I was thinking. That someone could say that they are for ethnic cleansing in Gaza and then immediately acknowledge that being an intellectual doesn´t mean you can´t be a monster. It goes to show that the international community is being irresponsible by not taking charge of the situation. Israelies are also victims, its not just the Palestinians. We don´t let victims administer justice by deciding the sentence of their aggressors. That wouldn´t be justice, it would be revenge. Why should the international community let either one side decide what happens to the other?
@RainierGuide174
@RainierGuide174 8 ай бұрын
@@ScamallDorcha The international community is largely responsible for this whole mess. By allowing the Palestinians to languish in Gaza and allowing three Arab league to retain them as proxy fighters for their famous three "Nos" the people have been left to fight a war they have been egged on too. Perhaps the international communities inability to decide what to do with the Palestinians and their lack of a spine to dealing with the Arab states should remove them from this mess and allow the two sides to hash it out.

Hello Jack, First time viewer of yours. I must say, my news channels of late have been very difficult to watch. I found Haviv Gur to be fascinating, fair, and clear. I have listened to your conversation with him maybe 10 or more times in its entirety and am still getting something out of it each time. I would like to show my appreciation to both you and Haviv for this conversation as I have really been struggling to find understanding and clarity with respect to this conflict. We know exactly how that Islamist mentality works as we have experienced them for 44 years. Long live Israel. It is very simple. The IRGC doesn't represent Iran. It shows in their name Islamic Republic Gaurd Corps. They are not all Iranian nationals. They have a large number of foreigners in their ranks, from Iraq, Lebanon, and recently Afghanistan. They are there to protect the oppressive violent mullahs' theocracy and have zero national interest in Iran. They are not a typical army but rather an army of Ometh( which in English means the nation of Islam that does not recognize any border). They have killed and tortured thousands of Iranian dissidents in and outside of Iran...I can go on and on. all I can tell you they are hated since they are a tool of the Islamic government and they have been killing Iranians for 44 years. Note Iran has a national army and forces, but they are disfranchised and have one-tenth of the IRGC power. Let me know if you have any other questions. I will be glad to elaborate @@keeto1234

..again spot on, your nation has hope and strength when your young men and women are willing to sacrifice and serve for the greater good..what struck me as a life long soldier is that after you see enough is that there's no hate, just resolve...I totally get that feeling that somethings just needs to be done to prevent things from ever happening again and that feeling of guilt in the failure to protect the innocent..

What an incredibly erudite, reasoned and rational explanation by Mr. Gur, at a time of such incredible emotional distress. I cannot understand how Hamas thought this would not unite Israel in an existential war. It would seem to be the most counterproductive action that Hamas could have taken.

What an interview and hats off to Haviv for somehow keeping it together through all of that. You could feel the raw emotion behind him threatening to break through the dam and to still speak with such clarity was something else. Watching this unfold and so many people coming out in support of Hamas has been an awful experience. The woman I love is Jewish, people I grew up with down the street are jewish and I cant imagine how this is for them. Hamas is a cancer. They've got to go and I do not care how it gets done. Thanks for your words and time Haviv.

Avid podcast listener for long, long time now. Very much appreciate the work of the talented Jack Carr. After the start of this episode I needed to stop all the to-do stuff to intently listen to Haviv Rettig Gur. INCREDIBLE. While I know much of the last 100+ years of Jewish history this historical overview is vitally important to the Judeo-Christian Belief System. The timeliness of this conversation is inspired! Had no idea that Jack Carr has a You Tube Channel - or maybe I did - regardless, indeed fortunate to find this one in particular after a quick search so I can say THANK YOU TO YOU BOTH. I did not think I could love and respect Israel anymore than I already do yet after this conversation and after October 7, 2023 onward no matter what I remain Standing for Israel as I have for nearly 70 years.

Thank you for this excellent podcast; it’s one that I immediately shared as widely as possible. The information covered will prove helpful to many seeking to understand the nature of this new conflict. I’ve been a student of Middle Eastern affairs, Israel, the Diaspora, and the Jewish experience for many years, but I also gained a new and valued perspective on the broader subject tonight. My heart has been broken for the suffering of the people of Israel; particularly for the many wonderful Israeli men and women we know and love; for their families, friends, and colleagues. But we are so proud of them, grateful to be their friends, and will be continually praying for them and all Israel - Jewish and Arab, as the country faces this existential crisis. The information presented here is indeed excellent but, as Christians, our entire worldview is formed by the Bible, so our understanding of the connection between the Jewish people and the land of Israel extends far earlier than the 140 years covered here. On the basis of our faith, trust, and love of the Lord, and our firm belief in His Word, as well as historical facts and International Law, we stand squarely with Israel. And we will do whatever we can to support her, by the grace and power of Almighty God; the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Am Israel Chai!

Exactly! Imagine supporting “men” who target Israeli children and then hide behind Palestinian children to escape accountability. All the Americans today claiming to be supporters of the Palestinian people are anything but. They are supporting evil cowards who from Qatari penthouses offer their own people up on a platter for misery entirely to keep their mission of genocide alive. Once again, the American people proving to be unspeakably stupid. I’d remind you, these are the same people who demand no police, open borders, and the legalization of child gender transitions. They said kids college students needed “safe spaces” because Trump won and yet see no reason to provide any support for Jewish kids on campus passing by mobs of people openly praising Hamas. Bragging about how all they needed was hang-gliders. This insanity is out of control. It is not sustainable.

@chilloutdude3617 a "bunch"? Maybe listen to your own avatar name. 🤔 and if you have read the whole lot of the "bunch"... then you would habe seen the multitude of examples given, that I encourage others to investigate. This doesn't mean I think the other side is sooo awesome, I can pick them apart as well, but right now there is genocide happening, and many of those people are followers of Yahusha and I will call the demons perpetrating it out, while you support them. Get a clue , read some history, Scofield lied to you and the Milner group LOVES the simple minded. Bless your heart.
