Very wise lady indeed and very wise people, the Jews are, as a nation. They came as refugees in a boat and took over a country and made it theirs by restricting the owners to a mere strip and a few spots of land here and there in the west bank. Of course, when you have the backing of the only nation that can drop an atomic bomb and get away with it, you can do anything.

I will say however that the questions of the interviewer revealed the generally held bias against the right of Israel to exist as a nation state-the bias that is unseen by the progressive left that denies the small state of Israel its right to exist while there are now some 50+ Arab nation states all around them-hardly makes sense!!

LOL Truth? Golda Meir denied the Nakba ever happened all her life. It was only after she died in the 1980s and 1990s that Israeli military archives were declassified and detailed just some of the atrocities committed by the Zionist militia (Haganah, Irgun and Lehi), as they built their entire country on the blood, land, hopes and futures of the native, indigenous Palestinian people.

Thankfully the situation has changed in many significant ways that we should acknowledge. Israel is no longer in a state of war with Jordan and Egypt. Syria has become too degraded to pose a risk to Israel. On the other hand Iran has risen has the main force which opposes Israel in the Middle East. Also the Palestinian issue has become more entrenched and radicalized. Israel will overcome these challenges just as they have done in the past.

First of all there has NEVER been a time when Jews did not live here. At times more, at times less. The So Called Palestinians, with the exception of Arafat who was completely Egyptian, were Fedayeen Arab Muslims brought as laborers in the 1800s here to work from the Arab nations. Town were built for their families. They are not the Indigenous people of Israel. There DNA shows that they are from the Arab countries. MY DNA shows that at least from 1500 years ago, my people are from here. Because 23andMe is a Left Wing Organization they say that my Mitochondrial DNA is "Palestinian Jew" from before 1500 years ago. That was during the time of Judea.

lol. Well take this: At a 1956 funeral for an Israeli soldier k!3lled by Palestinians in Gaza, Gen. Moshe Dayan, one of Israel’s most famed military leaders, advised the following: _Let us not cast the blame on the murderers today. Why should we deplore their burning hatred for us? For eight years they have been sitting in the refugee camps in Gaza, and before their eyes we have been transforming the lands and villages, where they and their fathers dwelt, into our estate._ _We are a generation that settles the land and without the steel helmet and the cannon's maw, we will not be able to plant a tree and build a home... Let us not fear to look squarely at the hatred that consumes and fills the lives of hundreds of Arabs who live around us. Let us not drop our gaze, lest our arms weaken. That is the fate of our generation. That is our choice - to be ready and armed, tough and hard - or else the sword shall fall from our hands and our lives will be cut short._

I don't know if this is true among the Arab people as a whole, but I am happy to hear you say this. It really means a lot. All we ask for is to have this land, the land in which we are indigenous, where our collective identity & religion was shaped, the place we prayed to return to ever since we were kicked out, and a territory that is 500 times smaller than the rest of the Middle East which is the home of Arabs. Most people have never even seen a map of Israel compared to the entire Middle East or even the entire planet. Let's end this already. We'll be happy in our home and you'll be happy in yours. Already, some Arab countries have normalized ties with Israel and welcome Israeli Jews with open arms, and we welcome them into our country. That's how it should be. The Middle East must exit the dark ages of indiscriminate human suffering, with each people earning a place to fulfill their collective dreams. I thank you for speaking out.

What a great interview with a great leader and a great human being! At 16.50 minutes through the interview, what Golda Meir said about the quarrel between Arabs and the Jews, about the hatred that the Arab countries harbour towards Israel still holds good at the end of 2023 when a war is again raging between Israel and Hamas terrorists. Nothing has changed over these years. The animosity between the Palestinians - Arabs- radical Islam and Israel has only increased, it seems.

@@MisFellatio Yeah, the Israeli way is to build bomb shelters to protect the lives of our children, because we value life more than we value death and war. As opposed to the Arab way, which is to let their children die like good martyrs for the pan-Arab cause, and spend all their money on missiles to bomb civilian areas instead of building bomb shelters.

@@theoriginalshakil8013 I value self-determination for my people and not being ruled by foreigners. Isn't that what the Arabs in Palestine claim to want? The Arabs have already conquered nearly the entire Middle East - Palestinian sovereignty is to be found in Jordan, or Egypt, or Syria, or Lebanon, or Arabia, where "Palestinian" Arabs actually come from. We both know it's not about land. Arabs have no shortage of land. Land is something the Jews have a shortage of, though. I value Jewish land more than the Arabs and Islamic caliphates who laid claim to it in the name of Islam, then let it become a barren wasteland full of crumbling villages, primarily frequented by nomadic Bedouin.

Long live Golda Meirs’ memory! I hope that she continues to inspire new generations to get involved in our struggle. Although Golda was ONE OF A KIND, as a leader and Prime Minister, I know for sure that there are MANY Golda’s, TODAY, amongst the Jewish women. And we need to follow the HIGHEST of high standards that she has set for us, the coming generations, and do the same for our children, grandchildren, and following generations. The Jewish community is known for having very strong women, we just need to continue fighting on in our struggle, in her memory, and make her proud, like she would’ve wanted. And we need to keep in mind that she did this for us. Am Israel Chai! 💕💕💕🇺🇸🇮🇱🙏🙏🙏

The only reason why the Arabs refuse to negotiate was, is and alway be that they cannot afford (their egos wouldn't let it be) an independent Jewish state in the Arab world. That's the main reason I could only think of after more than 70 years of conflict between Israel and the Arab states.

@@hexagramz5115 It seems that when politics becomes a full-time profession, it starts to groom and select for certain types of individuals (rehearsed, polished, appealing to lowest popular sentiment, imprecise in their speech).
