Here's my takeaways: 1) He was a coward 2) He was a horrible guy in his 1st marriage 3) 1st wife wasn't interested in making an effort in repairing the marriage 4) He didn't have the patience to give 1st wife space to process and possibly come around to the idea of her part in making the marriage work 5) He still doesn't take 100% accountability for the demise of his 1st marriage. We get to “see” Israel and how God redeemed him. I pray the first wife has also been redeemed by God as well and not dealing with trauma caused by Israel’s actions while they were married ❤️. Trouble doesn’t last but trauma does. I don’t like to hear about a “come up” because of a new woman, the previous wife was fearfully and wonderfully made as well, God created her, there shouldn’t be a comparison. Adrienne is no better of a wife for Israel than his first wife was, he was in love with the first wife as well and decided to let his flesh win likely due to the fame that happened and what comes along with that. Because he now knows what happens when you cheat and hit rock bottom, he is now probably trying to do right…. This has nothing to do with the idea that Adrienne is better for him… neither Adrienne or Israel will be the same person they married 10 years from now, it’s about doing the work to stay married while individually growing which unfortunately the first wife didn’t get the opportunity to have. The same energy and time it took to do all that cheating, lying, etc should be the same time and energy spent to sincerely apologizing and taking ownership and accountability of what was done while making sure the first wife is ok and healing. You don’t get to just break a person and then walk away without any responsibility, better to humble yourself before God does it. Its always two sides to a story and of course alot of people tend to try to make the other person look like they are the bad sour grape but in all reality their stunned growth in God our Father causes pain to and on others because they tend to act out of flesh and not of faith but when your not healed you tend to bleed on others. If you listened close to Israel, he told you in the beginning that he was cheating on his first wife. He said there was some else (not Adrienne). He also admitted that he was to blame for some things. It sounds like his divorce was not biblical. I cannot say I blame the church for their reaction. There is a higher standard for God's children and especially those in ministry. We shouldn't throw him away, but he should definitely sit out for a while, repent, regroup, and be restored. We can't as a church let men in ministry or women who are unfaithful in marriage continue on in ministry like it's nothing. I felt the same way about Jamal Bryant, Eddie Long, John Gray, and anyone else out there being improper. Go sit down! Get deliverance before singing about it to me, Israel.

WOW!!! Seems as if this happened to y'all personally. They both suffered and when someone steps outside of a marriage it generally means there's something missing. The problem was he was trying to live for everyone instead of being honest with himself and God. Knowing the storey changes nothing. I'm sorry there is a sickening feeling about this interview. This is like the narcissist promotion video. They promoted counseling to the highest . Wrong, he has 7 kids. He has a son he had when he was 20 years old - his son is about 34 years old. Then he met and married Meleasa (his first wife) and had 3 kids with her. He cheated on Meleasa with DeVawn Moreno and had 2 sons with her. Then he married Adrienne Bailon and they have a son. If you do the math, he has a total of 7 kids - 1+3+2+1= 7. Also, his eldest son, the 34yo, has 2 kids with his wife, so Israel is a grandfather of 2.

I agree to some extent, however he did plainly admit, he was the one who caused the dysfunction in his first marriage. I personally can't understand why the Ex is not spoken of in a more Honorable way, especially if she had your children, loved you and contributed to your success. He decided to participate in this interview and further the “sharing” campaign, which opens it up for public discussion. At any rate, the issue that I have is him comparing his first wife to the current. That’s dishonorable in and of itself. I think the saddest part of it all is that his first wife has never had the opportunity to tell her side. Maybe she doesn’t want to. Maybe she does. We don’t know that either. But, the little digs that he took in this conversation about his wife and him “prolonging the inevitable” was really low. He could have just said, my first wife is the mother of my older kids and I will always honor her, even though it didn’t work out. It’s a slap in the face. Let’s not even begin to discuss how his commentary affects the kids they share. You have to tread carefully with these matters. It’s a fragile matter that can cause serious emotional harm.

I would be terrified to be with someone who is divorced, I fear God. My Bible says that once you marry someone who is divorced, you cause that person to commit adultery and no adulterer can enter the Kingdom of Heaven. We serve a merciful God. The problem is we prefer to live the lie. Israel and Adrienne have a guilty conscience. 2 of his 3 kids with his wife, Melessa, aren't in a relationship with him bc of how he treated their mom. Just because culture doesn't place value on God's 1 flesh partner design doesn't mean the Church should follow the world---particularly those who "minister" to the Church. I’m all for forgiveness, redemption and grace, especially when there is a repentant and contrite heart. However, I didn’t hear any love for the Word of God. Is our Christianity, our obedience, based off of feelings/experience or driven by loving Him and His word? There is no “faking it till you make it”. God is not mocked and He knows the motives of our hearts. He will expose us in those situations for the sake of His glory and our good. Christ has preeminence in ALL things…..that includes my marriage, my experiences and what I think I need to be happy or to “love myself”.

I'm pretty amazed as well to see how so many "Christians"are okay with divorce because when we read our Bibles we can clearly see that God hates divorce. The only time it is acceptable as you mentioned in the verse above is in the case of sexual immorality.

Melessa didn't commit adultery, Israel did and he sinned again by marrying Adrienne. God is not a man that He would lie----Israel does not fear God. He & Adrienne had zero biblical grounds to marry. American Christians have been fooled into thinking that material prosperity is a sign of God's blessings. Adrienne saved up for her dream house and I'm happy she is now living her dream. This is how we know God is real because He gives us grace. God can bring us to a point where when we’re down and know one is around, no other voices in our head and in the stillness, we can hear His voice so clear. Israel doesn't understand that he is still married to his first wife God is very clear in His word that He hates divorce if you say you know God, and hear His voice you will know that God doesn't tell anyone to go against His word, sometimes we hear our own desires, and flesh, and not God's voice at all. I believe these two still have something to be concerned about with the LORD, because you don't divorce for any old reason according to God's word, and if you do you are not to remarry unless you remarry the same person, or until death to you part lest you commit fornication. Too many are divorcing in the body of Christ outside of God's will, and thinking God is pleased with this. God said unless it's for fornication, or if the unbelieving spouse departs we are not held in bondage. Matthew 5:32 (NLT) But I say that a man who divorces his wife, unless she has been unfaithful, causes her to commit adultery. And anyone who marries a divorced woman also commits adultery. Israel sits up there, and says God gave him peace in the midst of his relationship with Adrienne which has lead him to adultery?? God doesn't tempt any man as His word declares. The entire story of Adrienne setting him up on dates made me think maybe she had another agenda for setting him up on dates that didn't work in the beginning, and the reason why they didn't work was, because they weren't suspose to work, because she wanted Israel for herself. That's very sad all that happened with his first family, and Israel must remember it doesn't matter if he was young, and the marriage wasn't for him long ago, but rather know God's word never changes, and it's not made to fit our personal situations, and that we must repent, and know what God says especially as being a minister as he is, his life right now doesn't line up with God's word, and I pray he straigthens this all out with the LORD before standing before Him to give an account for his life. Israel says he doesn't care what no one says, but he better, because he ended up having to leave his church, because of the situation whether he was divorced first, or not, and that's his excuse that he was married, but divorced, but he wasn't divorced on the grounds God has declared. Sadly the host Willie Mooore Jr doesn't understand as well, because he's in agreement with Israel's adultery, and sees no wrong on his part instead of directing Israel to the truth of God's word, so it's apparent that Williw Moore doesn't abide in God's word, therefore seeing no wrong on Israel's part, and this is not to judge Willie, but when you know God, and His word you won't support sin, but guide people back to God's word.
