It’s crazy that these songs have really grown in me when I was a child growing up in a Christian household. Makes me happy that these songs are not forgotten. Because of these songs, I became a musician and would always thank God and my family for showing me these songs that I will forever cherish in my heart ❤️

That little medley book was blue and other’s were burgundy in the church where my awela raised us and it was called “Himnos de Triunfo y Gloria.” (Hymns of Glory and Triumph) Matter of fact, my mom still goes to the same church, they still have those same hymnals and they STILL sing from it!!! Amazing how worldly songs go away and most get forgotten but Christian songs NEVER go out of style. I love Jesus! And I’m glad I have the relationship I & my family have with him. Glory to God!

My father’s a pastor and one of his closest friends was a Haitian-Dominican pastor. I remember going to some of his services as a child. This brings back those memories.

These songs just hit so differently. Hearing this brought so many memories and tears.With my grandma just recently passing at the age of 91 due to covid. She was always singing her coritos.
