We've been making a survival meets automation game called Atrio: The Dark Wild in the Unity Game Engine for the last 4 years. It's kind of like factorio meets don't starve, maybe a little bit of Minecraft, and it's finally coming out on Steam this August 10, 2021. And don't forget, if you buy the game on release, you'll get the live laugh love item! Don't miss out.

3:12 the solar dog appers in the irus station teaser its just decorational but technicly not cut but was that just a mistake/will not show up in the game due to just being concept art but its a cool refrence

quick question, what are your plans after 1.0? do you plan to just finish the game and move on or keep working on it? and is modding ever going to be on the list since I could see some awesome mods that could be done for this

Super cool to see the side by side comparison of then and now. You've come such a long way. It's been amazing to follow for the short time I have! From a dev perspective I love that you've got automated tests. Good luck releasing the game!

Loved hearing about your testing system at 9:12 . I'm in the process of making own for my games, and I was wondering if you hit problems maintaining the tests? So when you added and removed features, did you have to spend a lot of time updating old tests to be compatible with the new systems? I'm also making tests for my UI, and that's particularly tricky since they all break every time there's a UI rework :'( .

I definitely like this game. I was sad when I revisited it and alot of what I had gotten use to was cut and changed. It's definitely an interesting I.P . But if you want to use this, you need to find something more to grab people and hold their attention in the game. I like it but I know alot of people that I wouldn't be able to convince to play it. That said, I am looking forward to the development of atrio

One thing that would be awesome, is if you could better yourself. Like you start out as this fragile disposable android. But eventually you become a giant android of terror. Not to many of these games have it where you can really improve your character to any meaningful degree.

I unconventionally acquired the game, wasn't a fan. 1) felt clunky, 2) automation seemed very barebones, pulled between the 2 genres but not doing either of them well. But most importantly 3) the lightbulb system felt like an arbitrary limitation ~ not really meaningful as to how you get more/less, the dark world in general had a lot of aesthetic issues.
