The longest sprint road racing event in Forza Horizon 5, The Colossus with the 1200+hp Ferrari FXX K in Unbeatable AI difficulty. The Colossus is the grand finale of the Horizon Apex Road Racing series.

Definitely way better than FH4's Colossus! Edit: Getting way too many comments regarding the AI. Unbeatable AI (S2-Class 998) takes around 12:45 - 12:48 to complete Colossus, depending on the car. In some parts it will be fast and some parts will be slow. The "slow" part happens to be at the end of the map. If you are not within this pace, unbeatable AI won't simply wait for you at the finish line.

Considering the looks, the X5 Forza Edition is 100% a homage to the Renault Espace F1 and the Ford Transit Supervans, all powered by F1 engines and all using some INSANE tyres and aerodynamics

Except in The Gauntlet, Goliath (and many other tracks) it is the opposite case as the AI becomes much faster the last 8% of the race making it impossible to win if you are not ahead beyond this point.

You don't understand you have to basically keep up with the AI for the whole race, as you saw in the video very little to no mistakes. If anything it's actually rewarding you have to be near perfect to actually win not too many players are gonna be able to drive this smoothly

One thing I'm really surprised about with horizon 5 is RWD cars feel really good to drive and are way easier to handle this time around. I feel like the meta is still biased to AWD but I feel like some RWD cars may be able to compete this time around

THAT'S WHAT I LIKE TO HEAR. I always drove RWD in A and S1 online lobbies and it was the best feeling ever to win a race like that, knowing that RWD setups generally are disadvantaged. Good to hear RWD is getting more competitive.

I really hope FWD cars get the handling response they deserve, in FH3 they were definitely viable but in FH4 they all feel the same aside from a few. No grip and crazy understeer, even more than 4WD which doesn't make much sense lol

Dang. It's a 15 min long race with no racing line assist, and grandma was able to cut every apex perfect. with keyboard. Dang I wish I were that good. And btw that Ferrari sounds like a turbo v6 F1.

Nerf the damn ai, make them actually smart and challenging rather than just cars on rails with more power and speed than the player could ever achieve. No way a damn jaguar d type can get more grip than a damn Mercedes Benz clk gtr but that's what always happens whenever you're in an anything goes race

Thing that more matters is that heavy-ass offroaders with aerodynamics of a brick are more agile at corners than a freakin hypercar designed to be as fast as possible at corners. Goddammit

They’re not regular x5s in this, they’re extreme track toys, so light as fuck and tuned to all fuck. Amazing to drive, it’s a Forza edition that gives you more xp from races.

There is a certain time you have to beat to defeat the AI. If you don't have the pace, the AI won't wait for you at the line. ISAD commented this.

@@johncarl5505 It still feels very artificial. Like the AI is programmed to stay ahead of you, no matter how fast you are, and then, if you are within a second of the AI towards the end, they are programmed to slow down.

Late to the party, I know. But I’ve noticed that if you get a good launch off the start, and get to at least podium position before the first corner of most races, the pro/unbeatable AI is more manageable. But if you biff the start, it’s an uphill climb that seems nearly impossible.

Nice to see that the AI still behave like slot cars and are primitive by '90s standards. Their "improvements" consist of a dial being turned up to make them go a bit faster.

I almost exclusively played on unbeatable difficulty in fh4 now I'm sitting around expert and slowly trying to gauge where I can consistently drive at. Haven't even attempted unbeatable. AI definitely isn't a slouch this time around, although it can vary quite a lot.

the ai is actually weird this time around. the ai is literally 8 deep just driving a perfect line all together feeding off slipstream not even trying to fight the by the time you get past them the top 2 are long gone and its impossible to get first in the horizon events (in shorter point to point or lap races). and in this video he didnt get close to passing the top 2 until the end where the ai let him pass. i wanted unbeatable ai to be harder but this isnt the way to do it. seems like on some races ill have to cheese the ai with my car/class selection. unless im missing something they might have to adjust ai somehow

With tuned cars it isn't so bad. In the older Forza games unbeatable was laughably easy. You didn't even need tunes or even upgrades. Even with stock cars you would still comfortably win against the unbeatable AI in horizon 4.

DUDE! YOU JUST SOLD ME THE GAMEE!! THAT WAS SICK!!! Though it was weird that the AI slowed down at 98% when they were clearly ahead. Still, getting it for my PC so I can run it on Ultra everything on my 3080 Ti. Thanks for the run, it was exciting.
