Every single time I see a new trailer for Mortal Kombat 1, I get more and more hyped for when it's finally released, and this is no exception. The best part is that Takeda and Ermac are coming back. I look forward to seeing how they're gonna differentiate Homelander and Omni-Man from each other in terms of abilities and movesets. Both characters are essentially identical, being evil Superman clones.

I don’t really watch The Boys, but I am aware of certain characters, like Black Noir and Homelander. However, I’ve known Omni-Man ever since I’ve watched Invincible, and I’d like to see how he plays. I’m surprised to see Quan Chi, Ermac, and Takeda, and guests characters such as Omni-Man, Homelander, and Peacemaker gets to be Mortal Kombat 1.

i will be purchasing it day 1 or when i preorder the game however… i don’t necessarily like Quan Chi as a character and i’m unfamiliar with Omni-Man and Homelander, never gotten into The Boys show or Invincible, I am familiar with Peacemaker but not too much and Ermac’s design is incredibly horrible to me. Takeda seems to be the only W for me and also no females? It’s fine

My theory is that omniman will be more of a brawler/grappler archetype while home lander will be more of a zoner/brawler archetype due to his heat vision. It’s also important to realize in their respective source material omniman is really good at fighting, but lacks powers such as heat vision and stuff, while home lander is ass at fighting he kinda just relys on his powers like his heat vision because people don’t usually push him to him limits

@@godtorrez his abilities are nowhere NEAR Omni-Man's level, let alone Thragg's level. Homelander destroys like a plane, Omni-Man destroyed a meteor the size of Texas. the only attack of his that could do any damage to Omni-Man is the sonic scream, but Homelander is too, well, petty and childish to make good use of that and try to arrogantly use his eye beams and physical attacks to try and prove himself better, just to get demolished and mutilated by Omni-Man.

Peacemaker in injustice wouldn't fit as he tends to curse alot as well as preform explicit murders within the show and movie he is featured upon. The argue could be made that they added hellboy in injustice 2 but this route is more preferred

I like the choices. Glad to have my favorite ninja (Ermac) back, and I like all the guests. My only problem is that having both Omni-Man AND Homelander feels kinda redundant. Their powersets are VERY similar, and I’m worried they’re gonna play too similarly.

Trust. NRS has this in the bag. They wouldn't have did it if they felt that way. Look at it like Goku fighting Vegeta, Hulk vs. Abomination, Ryu vs Ken etc...they can be very similar in powers but still have completely different move sets. Also Omni-Man is more of a skilled brawler, whereas Homelander is more of a zoner with his eye laser beam. He doesn't really do too much fighting in the show so NRS can really get creative with this freedom.

They’d definitely have different fighting styles ngl, homelander with non skilled fighting techniques and just using powers to Omni man knowing how to actually fight

They had like 5 different bat people in injustice and managed to make them all different. I’m not too worried. I’m guessing Omni-Man will be more of a brawler where Homelander will use more of his powers.

I think it's amazing how they turned a cartoon character into a believable 3D model. Looks exactly like the cartoon version except...3D🤯

This may be only a theory but based on this pack, my guess is that there will be 3 MK characters and 3 special guest characters in each pack. Like I said this is only a theory.

That's typically how it has been for a while. With MK11 you had Spawn, Joker, Terminator, and then Shang Tsung, Nightwolf and Sindel. And MKX's first kombat pack had Tanya, Tremor, Predator and Jason.
