yeah to be honest I felt like we were starting to feel burned out towards Marvel and DC even though they were released somewhere during the beginning of it. (even I was feeling a little burned out a few months ago the spider that I have plans to watch beyond the spider verse good movie by the way and also how I felt to watch Western media particularly animation and sometimes live action but that's a story for another day it always feels like a one-sided argument to me) although I would say invincible was popular among comic book fans despite image nowadays more focusing on anything but superheroes while I would say the boys wasn't that favorable until the TV show stuff at least makes it more interesting

Something I thought of recently with all this: That Mileena and Kitana are twin rulers of Outworld, and their shared sisterhood and love together, was clearly Kitana's wish at the end of MK11. Liu Kang and Kitana went off to rewrite the timeline, and Kitana had a hand in this. This was it. Meaning she wanted some closure with her sister. She felt compassion and empathy for the Mileena she knew.

@@HuxtableK The only strange thing is Liu Kang keeping Mileena's Tarkatan mutation although it is rewritten to be a disease. Storywise, it wouldn't make sense to keep Mileena's mutation unless Kitana requested it. Although it just could be something that can't change as despite the new timeline where everyone is pretty much allies, Shang Tsung and Quan Chi are still present meaning Liu Kang had enough sympathy to not fully erase them.

I was saying this on twitter. Even with Sub Zero they tried to differentiate with the Samurai Armor one time

It also looks like in this "reset canon" they merged the Shirai-Ryu and Lin Kuei into one clan, which is kinda lame

Go watch the Lin Kuei reveal trailer (the reveal trailer has Liu Kang explicitly call sub and scorp "brothers" as he's describing the new world he built) scorpion puts a hand on Smoke's shoulder and says "we aren't bound by blood but we are brothers" anc Rain calls all 3 (Sub, Smoke, and Scorp) the Lin Kuei, and Subzero says "the flames of the Lin kuei can't be so easily smothered" That plus the Outworld factions seemingly merging (all outworld women are either Umagi or royalty now) tells me shits SIGNIFICANTLY different. Like it seems Kung Lao is now an edenian/Outworlder (he was in what seemed to be storymode cutscenes with Rain who then uses him as a Kameo) Also they never say Hanzo, Shira-ryu, or even Scorpion in the trailers specifically.

Heck yeah the home lander is kinda bad at fighting he just has raw force so him being kind of a keep away zoner makes sense, and omni-man is so brutal and used to being right in someone’s face he’s definitely gonna be some kind of grapple based in your face tank. Also if he doesn’t get an invincible color variation we riot 😂

I think both Baraka and Mileena are suffering the same disease, just that Baraka looks way far gone with the disease whereas Mileena's symptoms are just beginning to manifest.

Im assuming in story Mileena is gonna perhaps get some sort of lesser dose or they stop it from spreading across her body. But it doesn't make sense her mouth is different from the rest as we saw at Kombat Cast. But I am curious if perhaps they dont stop it if in this timeline in the later games Mileena will get the arm blades and be a playable female Tarkatan

She had a very striking and sinister look with her white eye's and passive aggressive manor of speaking. She was queen of deception. This (mk1) is Tanya in name only...

The change to Tanya was unnecessary though. They could have just made a new character and no one could have cared.

Takeda is no longer an actual person, no longer related to Kenshi, instead it is a mantle in Shirai Ryu, just like Sub-Zero and Scorpion in Lin Kuei. Much like Bi-Han is Sub-Zero, Kuai Liang is Scorpion, Hanzo now is Takeda. The MKX Takeda was the fan-favourite of the Kombat Kids, so with this new era NRS take advantage to retcon his entire character so that now Takeda character can be added in any game they want no problem, because he no longer restrict by this whole generations stuff.
