Much appreciate your clean constraints, too often do I see completely jank fusion files posted on here

Fundamental! It makes working with the software so much more enjoyable. Glad you enjoy them 😁

Please keep making these videos. Super helpful fusion advice. Fast, clear, helpful! Love it

You could show how constraints are essential in parametric design, and it would be nice if you fully constrained your sketch.

Make the slit shape [S], not [/]. Both S slit hold each other, it make stronger.

Great idea! Hadn’t thought of that since the load on these hooks is really not much.
@onlycat17568 ай бұрын
@@thematterforge Ordinay, it's true. but when u pull curtain, that make more load just 1 hook. If it boroken sometime, try upgrade plase. BTW, ENG is not my native language, sorry about that. lol

I didn't see what kind of file you saved it as, but I usually do .3mf because they are smaller and carry more detail.
@thematterforge6 ай бұрын
.3mf is best for printing and keeping data about the creation of the file and fusion details, .stl works for file sharing since it’s not as large and can be easily accessed from many more softwares.

Let's say you wanted built in spring tension on the clip so you want to print it with each wavy part slightly outward & the clasp forward. Then after it prints, you side load the clasp & slide it into place. How would you design that & still have it fit properly?
@thematterforge8 ай бұрын
I would use a sketch or component to measure out movable elements that match what the lengths of the clips would be. That way I could simulate the motion before printing (assuming there’s enough room to twist it around).
@skonertm93958 ай бұрын
What did u use to print and if not TPU how did u get it bendy?
@thematterforge8 ай бұрын
It’s PETG! That type of Plastic can be super flexible around the 2-4 walls thick. The zig zag pattern allows the PETG to deform a little and then pop back into place. Hope this helps
@skonertm93958 ай бұрын
@@thematterforge awesome, I have a spool of PETG, I will test this technique with a small amount of walls! Thanks!
@grayismysuperpower8 ай бұрын
If you want to experiment with flexible PETG, on my printables page I have some flexible keytags that use PETG. They are only three layers thin so no infill just solid material.
