why is it a sleeper? :( i thought everyone knows MONSTER and isnt johan liebert a super popular anime manga antagonist? that's why i watched and really love Pluto 'cause it's written by the same author as MONSTER.

@@rin195 PLUTO should easily be one of the top watched/appreciated anime of the year but so far it hasn't gotten that acclaim. It's being overlooked by people for things like it being a Netflix property, people not sold on the premise, Anime websites having ONA's separate

@@rin195 unfortunately even though Johan is talked about alot, a lot of people still dont check it out. It also doesnt help that Netflix didnt do much marketing for Pluto, it dropped a few days ago and the most weve gotten is a twitter post and a youtube community post.

@@rin195naoki urasawas work to me feels like it is popular and not at the same time. Like, it is not apart of anime pop culture, but sometimes gets brought up in its own way.

I appreciate when reactors get emotional I know some male reactors that refuse to shed a tear even though they feel like it (and they admit it) maybe they think their masculinity will be ruined if get caught crying in public

Great reaction! . . . . . Some daring narrative and character decisions in this episode. I’ll definitely watch the series again at some point to see how everything plays out a second time, which details I missed, etc. And always a “yay” to Monster. The 480p version looks pretty dang good upscaled, and the adaptation is very faithful.

Theme is very philosophical and the story is moving. I recommend another anime work,"Atom the beginning"! If you feel sad after watching "Pluto", check out another modern remake of Atom. good story and action, but it's also a heartwarming ,the drawings are more delicate and beautiful. If you like stories about robots and AI anime this is perfect for you.

So many big things in this episode, but most of all Gesichts death. The ending scene with Tenma and Helena is amazing.

One thing I love about naoki urasawa's writing style is that he creates all these seemingly unrelated plot threads that don't all come together until the very end and it's immensely satisfying. In most other mysteries, the plot threads slowly come together throughout the story, sort of guiding you towards the conclusion, but Naoki urasawa brings them all together at once in spectacular fashion

Killing off the protagonist 2/3 of the way into the story is crazy, it shook me so much when I first read the manga years ago. Executed beautifully in anime form :)
