looking at the recent BR changes the SU-11 is apparently PERFECTLY FINE at 7.0

I remember wiping the floor with everyone on the 3 variants of this thing. Very powerful aircraft in the right hands. But the Su-11 vs R2Y2 matchup just SCREAMS that the Su-11 needs to go to 7.7 or even 8.0. I never played an easier plane ever since I started playing War Thunder. Not even Zeroes are as easy as the Su-11.

7.7 for not so long any more, these 200iq-ers move it to 8.0 soon

none of the R2Y2's were planned. the original plane, the R2Y1, was a propeller driven recon aircraft. the jet versions were only a post war observation made as a possible route it could have been developed into. (Edit) After some lookin' i realized that the V-1 was Proposed, but as far as the specifics and test go idk about those. the V-2 and V-3 are just... MiG-15 and F9F knockoffs.

When this had air spawn and bomb sights. You could just spawn, drop a bomb on a base for free rp and kill like 3 heavy bombers like b29s or b17s before the game was over. It was an SL machine back when it was added

shame these things are going to 8.0 and the repair costs are so high on the v3. Also they are really fictional particularly the v2 and v3 which pretty much come from a magazine in the 70s or something so i very surprised they have not been removed yet

They should add more planes that were only on paper. Like the Horton 18 or H.XVIII jet bomber, it would be the first six engine jet in the game and it would be pretty balanced at 7.0 or 6.0

The R2Y2 V3 has been one of my favorite jets lately. The guns are incredibly consistent AND satisfying unlike the cannons you get in Germany, the Soviets, or America. The plane has plenty of maneuverability, and the V3 can actually out accelerate a few of its contemporaries. The moderate fire rate and generous ammo count mean I never run out of ammo and the ability to decimate any ground target short of a pillbox is the cherry on top. Unfortunate that its going to 8.0, because the increased amount of missiles it will see and the increased speed of its new 9.0 opponents will probably drastically change the way the plane is played. The insane part about the BR change is that the SU-11 will continue to be at 7.0 despite having flight performance significantly better than the R2Y2.

I'm personally a big fan of the whole line. I think they're some of the easiest and most fun guns to use in the game with their ridiculous 930 m/s muzzle velocity and the consistency of the explosive mass. The airframes are all workable and you can figure them out relatively quickly. My only issue is with the rp costs for the mods on the V3. Why tf is the airframe on a 7.7 42K? They're all insane.

One of the best aircraft I've flown so far. Any target you hit with those guns will instantly explode, and it turns a lot better than what you might think when looking at its statistics sheet. It also accelerates very well at high speed, so if you avoid dropping below 500 kph when turning, you'll be back at your full speed in no time. I once clipped a wing off from a Spitfire Mk24 (back when it was at BR 6.7) while turning, right after recovering from turning into an F7F-1. I also shot down an F-84 and climbed to a stall to destroy a B-29 during that match, for a total of 4 kills. If that doesn't tell you how great this aircraft can be, nothing will. 😆

Fun fact: the R2Y2 is actually completely invisible if you have your "show in-game content" setting (iirc it's called that) to "except fictional" this is for obvious reasons

So I can just draw a really op plane that can somehow support the pilot from all of their induvidual molecules allowing it to perform like 40g maneuvers at mach 10 and shoot missiles that can go mach 20 and do 100g also the plane would have a radar set that can detect everything above and below the surface of the earth and gajin will add it becaus it was in some fuckin drawing.

Even on paper it never had those engines or layout. There are only papers of it with props and if it ever was planed to fit it with jet engines it probably would have had them hanging on the wings like a Me 262 and despite that is an amazing plane on war thudner and i love to fly it

Day 34 of asking to play the yak4 at 2.0 Start by a dive directly at q base that has another base clise to it ( 2 bases beside each other) 4 bombs for each Go straight to your base killing some ai on the way with your 7.62 Some planes will come on your back going in a straigh line with minimal evading is recommended and try to hit their engines with ur turret since they have weak engines a damaged one will lead them to crash i return to the airfield with 2 bases with 4 to 5 ai kills and 1 or 2 planes after taking off i go for bases if left but if not i will focus on ground targets cuz aa is the bain of this plane so bombing airfields is not recommended Bonus:do not forget to have smoke always on to piss the enemies 🤣

Also seeing a lot of SU-11 complaining here and would like to point out that very recently Gaijin nerfed the projectile velocity of most Russian cannons meaning the lead time of the SU 11 is now pretty ridiculous so the placement at 7.0 is acceptable as it can hardly hit anything when compared to similar BR early jets.
