A good change for Mercenaries PvP would be the ability to swap out heroes at the start of a turn. Like instead of a hero using an ability they can swap to a different Merc on your bench. Like Pokemon etc. Would help add an adit iona layer of strategy to things and lead people to building perhaps more balanced line ups.

And then add tailwind, trick room, life orb and intimidate ✌️ No thanks, it gotta has different options to Pokemon, here you i ow what you're facing, pokemon turns at high levels are stall fest of switching moves and swapping, kinda boring

I actually recommend to try switching Tyrande for lady anacondra if you have her she work very well with a beast and nature comps and she support both of the play styles you go for. I think anacondra is vey underrated in general....

I'm still treating this as a purely pve mode except maybe I'll play one pvp game a day for coins when they release more pve. Less grinding

Mercenaries are not that hard the starter mercenaries are solid for PVP

they match you with mercs of similar lvl and upgrades. letting you know in case that makes pvp any more appealing

Yeah i agree, i have no interest in the PvP for this mode and would love for blizz to just hard focus the PvE and give it some kind of longevity

If you're going to stick with Tyranda, if you're not using her to kill anything that turn, try using her ability to double up the next turn, every turn after that she'll be faster and you haven't missed any damage total.

I honestly just fear that due to the complexity issue of this mode once the meta settles we'll just be left with rock-paper-scissors

We will.. that's why we need soo long time for grinding, otherwise the meta will settled pretty quick.

The hope is that sooner or later, they'll add quite a bit more Mercs to fill missing team archetypes and such (which hopefully [doubtful] would be relatively balanced), which could turn this game of rock-paper-scissors into a game of 'rock-rockcrusher-paper-scissors-scissor|destruction|manual'... or something like that.

Call this comp Naughty by Nature. Also, the last fight is a great example of why you need to level all your Merc's abilities even if they seem bad. Trump won a 50/50 on the last round to not tie the game. Tirion was going to attack on the 7, killing both Mercs. Had Trump just had a single more point in Arcane Salvo, he could have guaranteed a victory by attacking on 5

There really should be more mercs for each tribe, it feels very incomplete. There are two dragons, three beasts, and only mukla and crush a good together. Yet there are a few beast support mercs. Like why isn't there more beasts. There's Voone which synergies with dragons but there are only two. There are only 3 murlocs. The only complete tribe is Humans and orcs, where you can make a full team that sync with one another.

True but you can make nature comps of troll elf and tauren, for example, which gain synergies from PvP loot, but yes it seems most damage 'themes' have 3 relevant cards, andvery few tribes have 6. Yet...

krush / mukla / anacondra was my main setup to clear heroic with. its my most advanced merc comp. also works somewhat for pvp, but I keep hovering between 5,3k and 5,5k. no power to the cringe metaslaves!

Go for Anacondra instead Tyrande, shes so slow tbh, I don't have many Legendarys like Rexar, Diablo, Lich King, Uther but Krush, Mukkla and Anacondra work so well.

I really do hope that blizzard puts a lot into the PvE aspect of this mode, hearthstone is literally all PvP id love just one mode with replayability thats more PvE focused

As someone who only watches HS and hasn't played it for a few years now, I am amazed at how quickly I got bored of mercenaries videos. It's just not very engaging to watch.
