Just found your channel and I’m very excited and impressed. I have found a new hobby. I love how you explain everything as I would not know how to start! I have just ordered one of your coin collection books for my first 50 pence hunt. So fingers crossed and here goes! I have a lot of learning ahead of me re: coin collecting and you are definitely my go to person. Thank you for doing this channel. I have some mobility issues and therefore flicking through coins and learning about them is an ideal hobby for me!

The dirty London Underground coin was probably found metal detecting and reintroduced into circulation. I detect and find coins in this condition all the time

Hi Christopher, great finds! I wondered if you were interested in a follow up to your Britannia coins video about cleaning coins - that dirty underground roundle would be a good candidate! My suggestion is one of those ultrasonic jewellery cleaning machines - it’s chemical free so shouldn’t damage the coin. Have a merry Christmas!

To save for my last holiday 5 years ago too Alderney , I saved £500 of Picture Coins, which I didn’t collect in those days. My friend a Coin Collector gave me Cash for the lot without checking them. The next day he told me , did I realise there were 2 Kew Gardens 50p in the bag, After checking their value on the Web I quickly learned, ‘Silly Man’ don’t you ever do that again…..🥲🥲🧐🧐🙁🙁 So with that terrible mistake and finding ‘Christopher’ I don’t miss a single Coin now lol🧐🧐🧐
